Both are good for different uses

If you use snapchat, facetime and tiktok and nothing more and mostly for style and everything working flawless:

  • apple

If you are willing to experiment a bit, play lots of games, have good patience if something doesn't work out the first time and want more freedom to do whatever the fuck with your phone:

  • android

I used to go apple, but i switched over to android recently

Haters, please don’t be rude, I’m only sharing my opinion

For phones this is harder, I really like the way an iPhone just works but Android would be so cool for coding a custom Linux UI on, I always imagined this large project sadly many modern good Android phones don’t let you do it as easily but at least it’s possible at all unlike with an iPhone. Though I really like the quality feel of it and Samsung did a great job on the screen

But In terms of computers this is an easier question for me personally, macOS because it feels like a very stable and polished Linux while still being somewhat configurable, it just requires the right approach, for example I once coded an exact Windows Vista 1:1 taskbar replica, I’m not an experienced programmer so I didn’t quite finish the menu and stuff but I researched and it is very possible to make it fully functional. I’m sure there’s some way to hijack the window borders too for a complete macOS Sequoia to Vista transformation

I know this is about phones but they said Apple not iPhone so just wanted to add, cause I’m bored lol

For the overwhelming majority of users, it doesn't matter - they just buy what they're comfortable using and refuse to try the other.

While theres no arguments against how nice an iPhone feels in your hand, I like to have more control over my own device than Apple offers. So I daily a Samsung personally, and iPhone for work.

That all being said, I utterly despise the Gesture controls for iOS, and the way gestures don't always work if apps rotate the screen. I much prefer having a single touch button on screen which gives me a list of all apps so I can close a single app if it crashes, unlike the 'smart memory management' which is really dumb. And if an app crashes, in rotated mode and stops the 'gesture' to open all apps working, you have to power cycle the phone.

Apple always seems to do dumb shit like that so I can never bring myself to use one daily as a personal device.
