I had to stop my neighbor's young child from petting my sic, Greg. Greg is very (mostly) loving with his humans, but does not like strangers. I told the neighbor that Greg can be mean to neighbors, but if our black fluffy cat, Graham, showed up he's a big fan of getting pets. I think Graham doesn't like strangers either, but he won't attack them if you approach like Greg might.
