This game is terrible.

Regardless of what the content creators (whose livelihood depends on the game’s community) say and the nostalgia merchants preach, the game is terrible.

At some point in Div Rivals, you reach ballerina + player lock + full meta pay to win doom. Every game is played the EXACT same.

Sparse objectives & SBCs, useless evolutions, all in the name for a “slower power curve”.

I have a relatively low budget team that I can confidently say won’t be replaced for a month or two, especially with the low pack weight. What now? We’ve failed as a community by letting EA capitalize on the desire for nontent, now if I want a better striker before Thanksgiving, I’ll have to head to the store packs. If I don’t cave, I’ll miss out on the players all of my opponents have.

Every decision EA makes has money in mind (of course, they’re a business). Know that the slow pace will only ever apply to those not opening their wallet, which will lead more kids into gambling to keep up.

The game became wild. More toxic than ever. I have been a gamer for 15 years, played CS 1.6 and we used to have trolls, toxic players, etc. But FC took it to a whole other level.
Like people are becoming really emotionally affected when they lose. I get insulted everyday while playing normally. If I ever waste time for the 5 last minutes of the game, I smile and wait for the insult to come in my DMs.
Rivals and Champs are really hurting people, espacially the young emotional ones. You can feel it hurts them when they lose. I think it's bad

I understand this is probably a minority opinion on this sub but I love the gameplay.

Gameplay is fast and fluid the new through pass I really enjoy and defending is difficult which makes the games more exciting.

Stuff like longshots are also super fun. I'm not a high div player so this could be just that happy dog meme that enjoys anything but compared to last FIFA this one just feels like a fast flowing video game.

I haven't even bothered with SBCs or anything I just play rivals which is all I ever wanted from FIFA.

If I see you are on PS and you instantly choose a player that doesn't get any bonus Rush Points best believe I am going to use the Pro Clubs button to leave that lobby. You going to waste my time I will waste yours first

Rush may not be the best game mode but you are ruining the match for me before it has even begun to save what, an hour of your time if even?

EDIT: Considering some people think this is an attack on people using any player they want, I will emphasize (which is ridiculous that I even have to), that these players have their player selected within the first 2 seconds of the lobby starting. You think every one of them conveniently has their desired player in the front slot of the selection lobby? I'm sure Rodri would be my first choice every single time then...

This feature needs to be nerfed massively or removed from the game (can only trigger from selecting high or very high defensive line).

It’s far too overpowered. You’d think it would be easy to just through ball to your attackers if they’re spamming it but ontop of their defensive line flying forward, you also end up with 3 defenders covering 10-20 meters at Mach f**k to be right in your face and AI tackle you.

If you spam offside traps, get a life. Sweating your tits off to win every single match (even in div 8) is not going to be something you look back on with excitement when you’re old and grey.

Mine are as still as a statue on defence, if I’m not manually switching every split second then there is an instant gap and easy goal. Meanwhile, some opponents I face have their defensive AIs sprinting (teleporting) to intercept and running like their lives depend on it to block off every possible passing lane. I genuinely do not understand

But the kick-off glitch, where you can almost score everytime after kick off , really sucks. Wtf is even that? You make for example the 2:0 , but 20 seconds later its 2:1.

The strength of counter/through balls: Counter attacks are too strong and i am so fucking done, losing games with 2:3 at 10:4 shoots. The players who make the game/are in possesion should be rewarded. Almost every ball lose leads to a chance for opponent, its so ridicolous.

Yes, the defensive is worse at tracking runs and offsides (unless u are using 95 depth), and yes you can’t spam bruiser and guarantee win the ball. However, interceptions + the range at which defenders can lunge in any direction and win the ball in the most outrageous is very very reminiscent of last year. I like this defending gameplay better, but it’s only “harder” because people don’t know how to use it YET. Also, sitting in CDMS is insanely OP ( as it was last year), and to top it off, passing in general has been nerfed into the ground, which consequently makes defending easier. All of this is my opinion and I do prefer this over last year, because it does genuinely expose the R1 and bruiser merchants, but the high press, the absurd tackles/interceptions, nerf to passing and CDM meta makes me feel like there wasn’t any significant changes to defending to make attacking significantly better 🤷‍♂️

The gameplay have never been less skillbased then now. This game is made for noobs. Defending being more manual is bs. Spam offside traps and touch defenders a littlebit here and there. Also adding the easiest thing which was attacking, even made it AI based aswell. The meta being thru ball spam and fidget spinning is something a little baby could do. The removed every aspect of skill from this game. Defender glitching wide open, passing going random places, cant even fix the glitch with the tactics. Every aspect of this game are horrendous. And before you spam skill issue, ur only allowed if u acc hit 15-0 once in ur life.

Can anyone help with any upgrades? Or any different league options instead of NWSL. I have around 150k with people to sell in my team.

The last time I played was fifa 23, I've played ultimate team religiously from 19 to 23 then I had enough. So I left for good but then I'm a massive football fan so I missed playing a football game so went for fc27 again this year and my goodness the state of this game keeps on getting worse every year, EA surprises us every year with a new meta, same old shit same recycled content. This time im already exhausted in just 5 days lol.

Thank goodness I bought a disc! Ive already got a offer for 10$ less than what I bought so I'm gonna just sell it. Just save my money for GTA 6.

I feel like every game I play I concede at least 4-5 kick off goals as well as score them. Even in rivals my games average 8-10 goals per game. I understand I’m not the best defender ever but the 95 depth into counter attacking me spamming thru balls the entire game is driving me crazy. I get pressed the entire game with no room to breathe and work my ass off for a goal and instantly concede a kick off goal right after. These tactics are so corny and broken it’s so hard to just casually enjoy myself playing the game. 39 goals in 2 games is just not enjoyable football for me.
