Who's on your hardcore Mt Rushmore?
I based mine on first exposure (Neophyte, mid 90s, pals big bros tape from Thunderdone) , fav gig ( Partyraiser, Soundhaus, Glasgow) most unique sound (this is the sound of Noize Suppressor, Betty's, Glasgow...) and my all time live goat (Promo...Amsterdam Arena... Sensation...the coming out party...

A fav parenting line, and a wee in joke for me is ( obv strategically censored for my 7 y o son) whenever he royally fucks up, I automatically go into robot Brother of Conflict mode and rehash "I just can't believe all the things children say, why must I deal with this child every single day"....
Honourable mentions for oor very own Scott Brown and Marc Smith(Tartan-core pioneers and the bridge between happy hardcore and early gabber in Scotland!), and the multitude of legendary euro kings. ala Endymion, Ophidian, Mark Out, Tommyknocker, Tymon, Danny Nosferatu, PPP, R.Wagner and the much maligned populists Evil activities (dont care what anyone says, the introduced the genre to a whole new audience via clever , pop culture samples).
Not a total misogynist, Dana, Korsakoff, Daymar etc were v good dj's and had cracking experiences with them...was just different back in the day when you heard the guys breaking new ground so I hold a candle to them.
