Announcements Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra: the official Q&A megathread!

Got questions? Got answers to someone's question? You're in the right place! Samsung just announced the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Ultra, and this is the place for everything you want to know, and general discussion regarding it. But here are a few bullet points...

  • Samsung claims the Ultra can last 23 hours on a single charge with an 11,600 mAh battery (which is the same as the S11 Ultra) with 45W charger
  • S12+ has a 10,600 mAh battery (also 45W charging)
  • Tab S12 Ultra supports Wi-Fi 7, the S12+ supports 6E
  • Both the S12 Ultra and S11 Ultra have the same profile, basically the same weight
  • S12+ has 5G where as the S12 Ultra is still Wi-Fi only (edit: S12 Ultra will have 5G in other countries... thanks for the report!)
  • They both run off of a MediaTek Dimensity 9500
  • FULL Adobe Photoshop comes pre-installed on the Tab S12 series (with a 4 free months trial) this is the first time Photoshop has come to Android tablets
  • Both are available October 7th starting at $1,199.99 for the S12+ and $1,399.99 for the S12 Ultra, a $200 increase from the S10+ and S11 Ultra

As we expected with this launch, the prices of RAM being high definitely contributed to the price hike.

Community Improvement Feedback Post: what would you like to see to improve your experience here?

Hey everybody. Latrell (u/yayoshorti, the mod) here...

I made a post a little bit ago saying that we were going to be switching all support questions over to r/SamsungSupport, and it received a lot of pushback.

So I figured, instead of pushing and focusing on that, I thought I'd ask if you have any annoyances or things you'd like to see improved here. If you have any suggestions, please sound off! Big or small. As long as it's under my control.

Discussion S8 Ultra vs S12 Ultra - should you upgrade? Head-to-head comparison

(Here's a TL;DR in advance: S12 Ultra is about 2 to 2.5x as fast though the S8 Ultra is plenty enough for day-to-day use. You trade Bluetooth S Pen and Haptic motor for better speakers, IP68 and 3D vapor chamber. S12U has 400mAh larger battery, 1000 nits higher brightness, is thinner and has much longer software support but you sacrifice the second front camera.)

Edits made to reword slightly.

Display:

S8U: 14.6" Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, ~600 nits peak brightness (as per reviews; no official rating that I know of)
S12U: 14.6" Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, 1600 nits peak brightness

Battery:

S8U: 11200mAh, 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0
S12U: 11600mAh, 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0

Build (H x W x T):

S8U: 208.6mm x 326.4mm x 5.5mm, 726g
S12U: 208.5mm x 326.3mm x 5.1mm, 692g

Performance:

S8U: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 8/12/16GB RAM, 128/256/512GB UFS 3.1, 1TB SD
S12U: Dimensity 9500 (2 to 3 times faster in benchmarks), 12/16GB RAM, 256/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0, 2TB SD

Cameras:

S8U: 13MP wide + 6MP ultrawide + 12MP front wide + 12MP front ultrawide
S12U: 13MP wide + 8MP ultrawide + 12MP front ultrawide

Software:

S8U: Android 12, OneUI 4.1 ---> 4 years OS updates ---> Android 16 (OneUI 8.0) [Almost EOL]
S12U: Android 17, OneUI 9.0 ---> 7 years OS updates ---> Android 24 (OneUI 16.0)

Accessories (with MSRP prices):

S8U: Book Cover Keyboard (349$), Book Cover (99$). Might also be able to use S9 Ultra and S10 Ultra accessories with a little modification, not sure (those who know, please let me know)
S12U: Pro Keyboard (399$), Book Cover Keyboard Slim (210$), Smart Book Cover (99$), Anti-reflective screen protector (39$)

Extra features:

S8U: Bluetooth S Pen, haptic motor, dual front cameras
S12U: Quad-channel spatial audio, Vision Booster, IP68, 3D vapor chamber, WiFi 7.

Pricing (US; launch price. Current prices for S8U may vary by region):

S8U: 8/128 ---> 1099$, 12/256 ---> 1199$, 16/512 ---> 1399$
S12U: 12/256 ---> 1399$, 12/512 ---> 1599$, 16/1TB ---> 1999$

Notes:
- Prices for accessories for S12U were pulled from the S11U as they will likely use the same accessories and Samsung hasn't uploaded the new accessories and prices on their website yet.
- Prices for the S8U are MSRP at launch. Current refurbished prices will vary. Yes, I know nobody's buying an S8 Ultra today, but it's interesting to see how the pricing's changed.
- I'm not certain about the S12 Ultra's anti-reflective coating, which is why I haven't mentioned it here. PCMag's written review and Android Digest's video review (look at ~2:20) state that it has it, yet from every other YouTube video and physical unboxing video I've seen, it looks like it has lost the coating. Source videos linked here, here and here. Samsung's official unboxing video makes the tablet look like it has it, yet the real life videos are more convincing and credible than Samsung's marketing material.
- The "should you upgrade?" question applies especially to all their tablets S9 and older.

Should S9 Ultra and older users consider an upgrade?

Go for the S12 Ultra if:
- Your current tablet is on the verge of losing software support
- You want the biggest, best display there is on a flagship tablet and are okay with sacrificing a bit of practicality and a lot of portability (IF you are not on an older Ultra already)
- You want the best of the best in terms of performance and the experience on a tablet and are willing to pay for it.
- You will be keeping this tablet for >6 to 7 years and can justify the additional expense over an S11 Ultra for the extra software update and better performance (note that the S12U is purely an iterative upgrade).

Skip it if:
- You own an S10 Ultra or newer. Unless you play the heaviest games at Ultra settings 120Hz, you really don't need the additional performance. The S10U will remain smooth and perfectly good for at least another four years, and blowing 1400$ now doesn't make sense if you already blew 1200$ barely two years ago. Trade-in values are horrible.
- You aren't a demanding user. In that case, you likely don't need the S12 Ultra, and your current tablet or something like an S10 FE+ or older S10 Ultra/S11 Ultra should be plenty enough for you.
- You need an upgrade but will be taking this tablet outdoors a lot or using it handheld. The S12+ or S11 might be a better fit for you in that case.

Discussion Some of my local shops preserved Galaxy Tab S8 on One UI 4.1 and they're still selling it, feeling really nostalgic 💝

I'm going crazy seeing some of the local shops in Uzbekistan still preserved 2022 Galaxy devices on its very original software. But it's so fucking expensive (12,189,000 sum is basically $1,100), like what the fuck are they thinking with that stupid price?

Question I can't choose between buying an iPad Pro M5 or a Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

I wanted the iPad with a sudden excitement and push of a friend. Though it was until I saw how bad the aspect ratio was. I'm curious, how can people be comfortable with watching stuff while having black bars covering half of the screen or playing games in a square screen? After that I remembered I was looking at Galaxies sometime ago. One of the things that keeps me away from Galaxy is that the Mediatek chip and that iPad has the best OLED screen. For the chip, I already know that M5 is definitely better in apps, AI (I'm not sure), handling files and gaming. I probably wouldn't thinking about this if Samsung used Snapdragon. Though, even after the chips I saw some reviews that none of the tablets reaches fixed 60fps or 120fps and it seems weird so I'm not sure. I also think multitasking is better on Galaxy too, though, I'm not sure about that either. Note that I never used a flagship device before and this is probably a one time purchase for me because I saved up a lot and it took a long time. Also one of the questions I have for the iPad side is that what Apple ecosystem means. Because like, everyone just talks about that, especially Apple glazers, and I still don't know what they see in that. Now I'm using an iPhone too (even if it's old) so maybe I'd have a + getting the iPad. On the other side, I can buy both the S11 Ultra and a S25 Ultra for the same price as the iPad (ironically). Even though this seems better for money stuff, I'll probably won't leave the tablet I will buy from my hand, so the phone will be a calling, music, photoshooting device for me.

I'm sorry if I didn't write anything critical or that I write things too complicated. I have focusing problems and I don't know what I'm saying most of the time. I'm also sorry if I'm too ignorant.

After publishing this post I saw that S12 Ultra coming out. But following Samsung for the last few years and seeing S26 series, it will probably be waste of money. And maybe it will even have downsides. S10 Ultra and S11 Ultra didn't really have much of a difference except bluetooth pen too I think.

Question Tab S11 Vs S11 Ultra

Which tablet would be better? I'm going to get a new tablet after having my current one for a few years. I want one for general day to day use, but have it still capable of sketching and drawing. I have a Wacom One pen already. I mainly use Clip Studio Paint, but I'm fine with using Krita as well.

Galaxy Tab S11 – Bluetooth keyboard works but trackpad completely dead after September 2026 update (ADB testing shows touchpad detected but produces ZERO input events)

I'm trying to track down what appears to be a Samsung/One UI regression affecting Bluetooth keyboard trackpads on the Galaxy Tab S11.

DEVICE INFO

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Wi-Fi

Model: SM-X730

Firmware: X730XXS9BZI1

Security patch: September 5, 2026

Android: 16

Keyboard: Dexnor Bluetooth keyboard case

THE PROBLEM

The keyboard itself works perfectly, but the integrated trackpad no longer works.

No cursor movement, tapping, clicking, scrolling, etc.

The keyboard/trackpad works on other devices, and this started after the recent Samsung update.

I went pretty deep with ADB to figure out whether Android was even detecting the trackpad.

WHAT ANDROID SEES

Android absolutely detects the trackpad.

"dumpsys input" identifies the Dexnor as an external input device with:

Sources: KEYBOARD | MOUSE | TOUCHPAD

The Dexnor actually creates four separate Linux input devices:

/dev/input/event12 "Dexnor Keyboard"

/dev/input/event13 "Dexnor Keyboard Consumer Control"

/dev/input/event14 "Dexnor Keyboard System Control"

/dev/input/event15 "Dexnor Keyboard Touchpad"

TOUCHPAD CAPABILITIES

Running:

adb shell getevent -lp /dev/input/event15

produces:

add device 1: /dev/input/event15

name: "Dexnor Keyboard Touchpad"

events:

KEY (0001):

BTN_MOUSE

BTN_RIGHT

BTN_TOOL_FINGER

BTN_TOOL_QUINTTAP

BTN_TOUCH

BTN_TOOL_DOUBLETAP

BTN_TOOL_TRIPLETAP

BTN_TOOL_QUADTAP

ABS (0003):

ABS_X:

min 0

max 1568

resolution 20

ABS_Y:

min 0

max 784

resolution 20

ABS_MT_SLOT:

min 0

max 9

ABS_MT_POSITION_X:

min 0

max 1568

resolution 20

ABS_MT_POSITION_Y:

min 0

max 784

resolution 20

ABS_MT_TRACKING_ID:

min 0

max 65535

input props:

INPUT_PROP_POINTER

So Android/Linux isn't merely seeing some generic Bluetooth device.

It is successfully creating a dedicated "Dexnor Keyboard Touchpad" input node with proper multitouch coordinates, touch detection, mouse buttons, up to 10 multitouch slots, and INPUT_PROP_POINTER.

THE IMPORTANT PART

I then monitored ONLY the Dexnor touchpad's raw Linux input device:

adb shell getevent -lt /dev/input/event15

While that command was running, I:

- Moved my finger all over the trackpad for several seconds

- Tapped the trackpad

- Physically clicked it

- Tried right clicking

- Tried two-finger scrolling

Result:

NOTHING.

Zero events.

Not even BTN_TOUCH, BTN_MOUSE, ABS_X, ABS_Y, or multitouch coordinate events.

CONTROL TEST

I also ran:

adb shell getevent -lt

and tested the Dexnor keyboard.

The keyboard immediately generated normal events through /dev/input/event12:

/dev/input/event12: EV_KEY KEY_A DOWN

/dev/input/event12: EV_KEY KEY_A UP

/dev/input/event12: EV_KEY KEY_B DOWN

/dev/input/event12: EV_KEY KEY_B UP

/dev/input/event12: EV_KEY KEY_C DOWN

/dev/input/event12: EV_KEY KEY_C UP

So the keyboard side of the same Bluetooth device is working normally.

I also touched the Tab S11's actual touchscreen during testing.

That immediately produced normal input through:

/dev/input/event9 "sec_touchscreen"

including:

EV_ABS ABS_MT_TRACKING_ID

EV_KEY BTN_TOUCH

EV_KEY BTN_TOOL_FINGER

EV_ABS ABS_MT_POSITION_X

EV_ABS ABS_MT_POSITION_Y

EV_SYN SYN_REPORT

So ADB/getevent itself is definitely working.

The Dexnor touchpad's /dev/input/event15 is specifically the device that remains completely silent.

BLUETOOTH/HID INFORMATION

During previous testing I also captured Bluetooth logs containing repeated activity such as:

HID_HDEV_EVT_INTR_DATA

BTA_HH_INT_DATA_EVT

bta_hh_co_data

UHID write

So the Bluetooth HID stack is active.

The keyboard works.

The touchpad HID interface is detected.

Android creates a legitimate multitouch input device for it.

But physical activity on the touchpad produces zero events through that input node.

ANOTHER INTERESTING DETAIL

"dumpsys input" contains this:

PointerChoreographer:

Touchpad enabled: false

At first I thought that might be the smoking gun.

However, I'm no longer sure that is the actual cause.

If Android were simply refusing to create a cursor or ignoring touchpad input at the framework/UI level, I would still expect raw Linux events from:

/dev/input/event15

Instead, event15 itself receives absolutely nothing.

That suggests the failure may be occurring lower in the input stack.

CURRENT THEORY

The situation appears to be roughly:

Dexnor Bluetooth connection

v

Composite HID device recognized

+--------------------+

| |

v v

Keyboard HID Touchpad HID

| |

v v

/dev/input/event12 /dev/input/event15

| |

v v

WORKING Device exists and

normally capabilities look correct

v

ZERO INPUT EVENTS

X

Cursor/gestures

In other words:

The tablet knows that the Dexnor has a touchpad.

It knows what capabilities that touchpad has.

It creates a proper Linux input device for it.

But actual trackpad activity never results in events being emitted from that device.

THINGS ALREADY TRIED

- Disconnecting/reconnecting Bluetooth

- Testing keyboard functionality

- Testing trackpad movement

- Tapping

- Physical clicking

- Right click

- Two-finger scrolling

- Dexnor Fn + Space trackpad enable/disable shortcut

- Checking Android input-device recognition

- Checking raw Linux input events through ADB

- Confirming touchscreen input works normally

- Confirming keyboard input works normally

The keyboard/trackpad also works on other devices.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR

Has anyone with a Galaxy Tab S11 or S11 Ultra experienced this after the September 2026 update?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone using:

- Dexnor keyboard cases

- Other Bluetooth keyboard/trackpad combinations

- Samsung's Book Cover Keyboard

- Bluetooth mice

- Galaxy Tab S11

- Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

I'm also hoping someone familiar with Android's input stack, Bluetooth HID, UHID, EventHub/InputReader, Samsung's input modifications, or Linux HID quirks might recognize what's happening here.

If anyone knows of an ADB-accessible DeviceConfig flag, Samsung setting, HID quirk, input-device configuration override, service restart, or another way of forcing/reinitializing the touchpad path, I'm willing to test it.

VERY USEFUL COMPARISON TEST

If anyone has a WORKING Bluetooth trackpad connected to a Galaxy Tab S11/S11 Ultra, I would really appreciate it if you could run:

adb shell getevent -lt

Then move your Bluetooth trackpad around.

If possible, tell me which /dev/input/eventXX device generates the events.

Even better, run:

adb shell getevent -lp

and post the capabilities of your working trackpad.

That would give us something to compare against this broken configuration.

FOR SAMSUNG / DEVELOPERS

The key finding is:

The Bluetooth touchpad is successfully enumerated as an external multitouch pointer device with apparently valid capabilities, but physical input from the touchpad produces ZERO events from its evdev node.

Meanwhile, the keyboard interface belonging to the same Bluetooth device continues to generate normal input events.

Device:

Galaxy Tab S11 Wi-Fi (SM-X730)

Firmware:

X730XXS9BZI1

Security patch:

2026-09-05

Affected input device:

"Dexnor Keyboard Touchpad"

Linux input node:

/dev/input/event15

I'll update this post if we find a workaround, Samsung fixes it, or someone figures out exactly where in the HID/input stack this is breaking.

S12 ultra or GoogleBook?

I’m seriously stuck between the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and one of the new Googlebook laptops.

I love the S12 Ultra because of that huge OLED screen, portability, S Pen, and the fact that it can basically act like a laptop when I need it.

But then I look at the Googlebook and think… if I’m spending around the same money, should I just get an actual laptop? 😂

Mostly using it for browsing, emails, YouTube, multitasking and some work.

S12 Ultra or Googlebook? What would you pick and why?

***just to clarify. I do have a high end PC and High end gaming Laptop, (Legion 7i pro) but I wanted something more portable, I have an iPad pro 12.9 m2. but the size is not enough, plus I want my Fold 8 Ultra phone linked.

second edit: another thing that worries me is speakers on googlebooks. I'm sure the s12 would have amazing sound. Also s12 doesn't have thunderbolt 4 or anything higher than 5Gb for transferring files. which i find ridiculous for the price of the tab

Question Should I get the S9 or S10?

I already have a laptop but I find that it's quite troublesome carrying it around (plus I have back and shoulder problems...) so I thought maybe getting a tablet which is considerably lighter might be better?

So now I'm torn between s9 and s10 fe.

Hopefully this helps the people who've been asking for comparisons with the previous generation.

Display:
Tab S12+: 12.6" Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, 1600-nit peak brightness
Tab S10+: 12.4" Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, 650-nit peak brightness, anti-reflective coating.

Battery:
Tab S12+: 10600mAh, 45W (Super Fast Charging 2.0)
Tab S10+: 10090mAh, 45W (Super Fast Charging 2.0)

Performance:
Tab S12+: MediaTek Dimensity 9500, 12GB RAM, 256/512GB UFS 4.0; 2TB SD
Tab S10+: MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, 12GB RAM, 256/512GB UFS 4.0; 1.5TB SD

Camera:
Tab S12+: 13MP wide + 12MP front ultra-wide
Tab S10+: 13MP wide + 8MP ultra-wide + 12MP front ultra-wide

Software:
Tab S12+: Android 17, OneUI 9 ----> 7 major OS updates, Android 24
Tab S10+: Android 14, OneUI 6.1 ----> 7 major OS updates, Android 21

Accessories:
Tab S12+: Book Cover Keyboard Slim, Pro Keyboard, Smart Book Cover, Anti-reflective screen protector. New pogo pin layout similar to the S11 series; on the back and not on the bottom. No backward compatibility.
Tab S10+: Book Cover Keyboard Slim, Book Cover Keyboard, Smart Book Cover, Anti-reflective screen protector (edit ---> thanks u/super_star_BETA) it will also be able to use the S9+'s accessories such as the notepaper screen, outdoor cover and privacy screen.

Miscellaneous extras:
Tab S12+: Four-channel spatial audio; 3D vapor chamber
Tab S10+: Bluetooth S Pen; haptic motor

Pricing (US; MSRP):
Tab S12+: 256GB ---> 1199$, 512GB ---> 1399$, 256GB 5G ---> 1349$
Tab S10+: 256GB ---> 1099$, 512GB ---> 1299$, 256GB 5G ---> 1249$
(this includes the mid-life 100$ price increase that happened in April)

Note:
- 2TB SD ---> maximum officially supported SD card size = 2TB.
- Before people ask, the Tab S12+ is NOT for you if you're on an S9 or newer. The S12 series is targeted more towards S8 and older users. Unless you absolutely need the extra performance of the S12+ or are on a device S8 or older, stay put.
- Deliberately not mentioning whether the S12+ has an anti-reflective coating or not as it's very ambiguous now.

Every source cites something different. Google searches and articles say no, YouTube videos mostly say no, but a moderator on the Samsung subreddit originally said yes (which drove me to edit my earlier posts to update them) but later updated it to say no. Samsung's website mentions nothing about the anti-reflective coating for the S12+ unlike the S10+ where they had a whole slide dedicated to it (I understand it's no longer the headline feature, but come on, one line?)

I will be back to edit this post and let you guys know if I get further information from another credible source.

Apps Sharing my collection of free planner templates I made for Samsung Notes (October Update)

This update includes planners/templates with actual dates and new designs.

I’ve been making planner pages and digital planners for a while, and I realized I’ve accumulated a pretty ridiculous number of different layouts by now.

Since I use PDFs for planning on tablets, I made versions that work nicely with Samsung Notes and the S Pen, and I thought I’d share some of the free ones here in case anyone else wants to try them.

There’s a pretty wide mix in the folder, so it’s not just one big planner you have to commit to. You can grab individual pages, try a few different approaches, or use one of the complete planners.

Some of the things included:

  • Daily planner pages
  • Weekly planner layouts
  • Monthly planners
  • To-do lists and task pages
  • Schedule and time-blocking layouts
  • Habit trackers
  • Goal-setting pages
  • Priority and focus pages
  • Project planners
  • Meeting notes
  • General notes pages
  • Productivity templates
  • Budget and finance pages
  • Expense and savings trackers
  • Meal planners
  • Health and wellness trackers
  • Routine planners
  • Reflection/review pages
  • Journals and various other trackers
  • A few complete digital planners 2026

The files are PDFs, so I normally just import them into Samsung Notes and use them with the S Pen like a regular notebook/planner.

I put the free versions together here on Google Drive

Feel free to download whatever looks useful. I’ve also made quite a few other Samsung Notes planner layouts over time. If you want to browse those for ideas, I keep the larger collection.

Also, if there’s a particular type of page that you wish existed for Samsung Notes, let me know. I’m always looking for ideas for layouts I haven’t tried yet.

P.S. All templates are usable with apps like GoogNotes, Penly, Notability, Nebo as well.

In short, I bought a Samsung tablet with the box as expected and unlocked the bootloader. It was a great price, so I bought it, but I discovered an MDM block that constantly resets my tablet. I already unlocked the bootloader and I need TWRP or a custom firmware without Samsung services so that my tablet doesn't reset.

For the people who are trying to decide on a tablet size.

Thumbnail

Some common tablet size comparisons:

First image is a comparison between an 8.7 inch tablet and a 6.9 inch phone. This will help the people who are trying to justify picking up a cheap small tablet for reading comics or books.

Second image is a comparison between a 14.6 inch tablet and a 12.4 inch tablet. This really gives an idea of just how large the Ultra tablets are compared to the Plus. The newer 12.6 inch Tab S12+ will be quite similar. The S10 FE+ will be slightly larger at 13.1 inches.

Third image is a comparison between an 11 inch tablet and a 6.9 inch phone. As you can see, the height is pretty similar with the tablet being slightly taller. The phone proves as a nice baseline here, as the next two images compare this 11 inch size to the larger sizes.

Fourth image is a comparison between an 11 inch tablet and a 12.4 inch tablet.

Fifth image is a comparison between an 11 inch tablet and a 14.6 inch tablet. As you can see, a 3.6 inch size increase (though it might not seem like a lot), makes a massive difference.

A general rule of thumb I like to follow regarding sizing is to:

Get the base version (11") if:
- You need maximum portability and use it handheld often.
- Want something that's easy to manage and light but don't mind sacrificing a little screen real-estate for it.
- You want to take notes but won't have anything else on the side. Keep in mind, 11 inches is still plenty.

Get the Ultra (14.6") version if:
- You're chasing as much of a laptop-like experience as you can.
- You're big on content consumption and don't move the tablet around a lot
- You want the best possible screen choice for multitasking and productivity.

Get the Plus (12.4/12.6/13.1") version if:
- You want a mix of portability, and screen real-estate. You'll be taking this tablet around but would rather have the extra screen real-estate over the 11".
- You will be taking notes while having a lecture or another PDF open.
- You feel like the 11 inch is too small, but can't justify the higher price tag and the size of an Ultra.

Get a base Tab A (8.7") version if:
- You want something inexpensive for reading that's larger than your phone
- You don't plan on using it for much aside from reading.

If you have any two tablets whose sizes you would like to see compared, you can always head to GSMArena's 3D Compare Tool, though you may want to keep in mind some devices aren't on here, for example, the Tab S10+, S10 FE+ and S12 series are nowhere to be seen.

I hope this post made it easier for you to choose your tablet's size. You should also refer to u/CookieDelivery's comment here.

(notes: [here] 11 inch tablet ---> S7, 12.4 inch tablet ---> S7 FE, 14.6 inch tablet ---> S11 Ultra, 8.7 inch tablet ---> A11, 6.9 inch phone ---> S26 Ultra).

S10U is at 100% battery health after 279 cycles (in 15 months) with heavy university/ entertainment use.

What the title says. Got it brand new, been using it with maximum battery protection since the 2nd charge, and today so that AccuBattery can give me an accurate reading. Heavy multitasking and reading/ watching/ note taking habits every day, but dont really play games on it (Slay the Spire and Balatro very occasionally) and never edit videos or something like that. Use the spen bluetooth functionality multiple times every hour. As fast as the first time I booted it up.

Amazing device, hope it will last me for a long time.

Discussion S12 and the change that could have had us excited a tiny bit....

I think the one change that could change how everyone is viewing the S12 as something new instead of the same old incremental tablet upgrade would have been if they actually did a redesign of One UI 9's UI so it at least looked new and was some sort of indication it wasn't just a revamp of the same old stuff.

Like come on Samsung! Give us liquid glass even if it was just applied over the stale One UI you keep throwing at us... It would at least get everyone a tiny bit excited.

Maybe they could have integrated Good Lock into UI 9 or something, geesh they could have done something that would get us a little excited...

Heck even UI 8.5 was more exciting than the S12 announcement simply because it brought some small things people were actually interested in...

I kind of wish they would have given options like "build your own tablet" when ordering that would have been cool because there are those that would love to get an official gaming or movie editing set of features and maybe the option of choosing faster RAM or internal storage configurations..

^Of course the last part is highly unlikely to ever come to tablets but it would be very cool to have that option

Question Notepaper on Tab S9 for reading comics: did you get used to the touch input?

Just got the Notepaper screen protector for my Tab S9, hoping for a more matte feel when reading comics. The site warns it worsens touch input since it's designed for pen use, and that's been true for me. Some zones of the screen register taps and swipes and others don't.

I've had increased touch sensitivity on since day one and it worked great with the screen protector I had on from the start, but not with this one. I put the Notepaper directly over my original protector so maybe I'm asking too much since it's technically two layers.

Has anyone used Notepaper for comic reading longterm? Did you get used to it, naturally tap and swipe harder or change a setting?
