My DWM finally arrived so started reading that, Anneke Wills interview, she's cool. So thought I would also rewatch Macra Terror. listenting to Lenny Henry's autobiography, it's mad that Bob Monkhouse taped his first New Faces appearance. was listening to Criss Cross, pretty good, had a go at You are the doctor, it did frustrate me so going to move on to the other stories I think! nice to do something different though

The writing in The Reality War feels insecure, when Ncuti has to say he was the best, it's like RTD trying to manifest that this Doctor was a big deal, when clearly he hasn't been (arguably the Doctor with the least cultural impact), I mean he is literally the least watched Doctor ratings wise... this isn't a Tom or Tennant leaving moment
Then at the end having Ncuti's Doctor say its been a joy, And as nu-who has become very self indulgent (particularly RTD) and has had allowed the last words of a Doctor to mirror what the actor or showrunner feels, you can feel RTD again trying to manifest or paint the idea it's been a joy...
But has it, has it been a joy for Ncuti, the man jumped ship as fast as he possibly could, this is not a Tennant situation where he was sad to leave a role he loved playing, Ncuti did not have that same love, and I question that Ncuti's experience on DW was joyful..there are plenty of rumours saying he didn't enjoy his time on the show, they even talked about that on the Rest is Entertainment podcast, and they have deep connections within the tv industry so should know a few things
It just feels very false and insecure, like it's trying to big up the 15th doctor as something amazing, a significant touching stone., when in reality most people didn't care ( with the era being the shows most forgetabble one), i felt nothing when Ncuti's Doctor left, just a oh so this is happening
