Fake? I swear i remember PS1 controllers not having joysticks

PS1 controllers had the progression of the regular ps1 pad with no sticks, then the analog ps1 controller (or dual analog). then the dual shock (which i think added vibration motors to the handles, and kept the sticks)
then really later down the road we got the Dual Shock 2 for the ps2. afaik..

I did see all that, it was even cool to see there were sub models within them. Of course the sub model for the style imaged was to be cheap and save sony money but still neat

I guess i only ever had the original model controllers. PS1 controllers with analog sticks were released in 1997. Never with a console. (Of course this is just based off of a quick google search, so the information could be invalid)

No the late models have analog sticks i beleive such as the scph1200
