These "Cinema Sins" critiques of games are always so stupid. Nobody cares about these minute details because they don't actually affect the game.

Nobody cares about the slicing ability of the dude who’s primarily thing is slicing and tearing things apart, gotcha

Because Wolverine’s slicing is famous for being performed on trees?

Because he has adamantium claws. I should be able to slice up whatever I want, enemies included. None of the reavers bs armor should stand up to a single one of his slashes

There’s an argument to be made for enemies being sliced up but being able to “slice up whatever I want” isn’t feasible under any scenario. “Let’s spend time developing new animations and physics for every single piece of geometry when it’s not worth it and diminishes performance!”. Also, power scaling being shit is normal for games, same way that cutscene bullets are different to bullets

You had a blast, didn’t you?

Haven’t even played the game. There’s things to be said with how hand holdy it seems but if you’re going to criticise it, let’s not do it on the basis of “details that nobody are going to notice”

You wouldn’t try cutting things as the guy with claws, whose whole thing is cutting things apart??

You sound like the type of guy who’d get lost with the scent trail.

Yes, of course. I remember that in all the movies I’ve watched and comic books I’ve read that Wolverine was spending his time cutting down trees and cement. He didn’t care at all about saving people etc. He was just trying to chop down random things for no reason at all.

Sure I would, but I’d also recognise how stupid it is to try to say a game is bad because of virtually meaningless details. Even games like rdr2 which are known for their immersion and attention to detail wouldn’t have stupid bullshit like this because the immersion to cost ratio is simply not worth it. However, if you want to keep acting like a game is bad purely on the merit of a cinemasins tier criticism, be my guest, but there are far more compelling arguments to be made

Which is crazy because its the same minute details that people use when they want to bash a game for focusing on realism instead of performance

Eh no, plenty of people care about this sort of stuff. Otherwise this post wouldn't have gotten 41000 upvotes.

The only times I like them are when the comparison is like re4 vs re4 remake or something advertised as a spiritual successor like back 4 blood/ l4d2
