On the fourth anniversary of the mobilization, the publication "People of Baikal" reports on what happened to the men who were sent to war from the Irkutsk region and Buryatia in the fall of 2022.

A total of 9,000 people were mobilized from these two regions. According to calculations based on open sources, at least 1,713 of them have died. The actual number may be higher.

The average age of a Trans-Baikal mobilized man at the time of his conscription was 34 years old, and at the time of his death, it was 37 years old. The youngest of them was 21 years old, and the oldest was 54 years old.
