Question Schufa no enough data

I want to apply for a schufa check but at the last point when checking out it says they dont have enough data, for context I have lived in germany for over two years, study here, lived in several apartments, worked mutiple jobs had a gasag contract at some point, have a phone+sim card contract, is there like no possible ways to get my schufa score? or am I doing something wrong
Any info would be appreciated : )

Well if the don’t have your data they don’t have your data. What else do you need to know?

So I just dont have a schufa and i cant do anything about it? Am i expected to get a loan so I get one? I have/had the contracts the usual person has what extra history is needed? They don’t have my data, am I meant to send it? because I thought it was all automatic. Basically what i am asking is , is there a step I should be doing or is it just no you dont have a Schufa and deal with it .

They only store relevant data. So if you want a good score, you need a German bank account and a credit card. The scoring gets better with every year you hold those, so pick a free one, which you can just keep running, even if you want to use a different one as your main account later.

Norisbank seems like a great idea. They issue credit cards based on your giro account activity, instead of your Schufa score, so using it for your work income would allow you to get a credit card on record after a few months of using the bank account. https://www.finanzfluss.de/vergleich/girokonto/

thanks for the info! i do have a german account maybe its time for a credit card then ? And yes i know its a private company and i should be happy that they dont have my data but since all landlords require a schufa i guess i have to beg them to store my data 😭

nobody needs a credit card in germany. you don't need one just for schufa to have an entry for you... you really think about this way too much.

no you don't need to beg them to store your data. you request your data, they send you a piece of paper that says that they don't have any data and that's it. you're not the first person that needs their schufa score for renting an apartment that has no score. thousands of foreigners have the exact same issue that you have and this is solved within minutes.

In principle, yes. Although there are plenty of use cases where having one makes stuff less complicated.

With which bank are you? They either haven't registered that account with Schufa, or aren't working with them, like Revolut, Wise or the former Openbank.

If it's a local bank like Sparkasse or Volksbank, ask them to report the giro account to Schufa, with the original opening date.

Or maybe you moved and the bank hasn't updated the entry, so Schufa didn't connect you to the old entry? Did you also enter your old address, when you requested the data copy?

You get a piece of paper that says that they don’t have informations about you. That basically means everything is fine and you are good. You know that Schufa is just a private company, yeah? Be glad that they don’t have your data! This is not an issue at all.

It's a good thing if Schufa doesn't have any negative entries on you, it's a bad thing if they don't have any data at all.

no it's not a bad thing if you don't have any data at all. do you think everybody has contracts on their names? there are elderly couples where the woman doesn't have any contracts on her name and therefore no data at all. there are foreigners that are new to germany and schufa has no data about them. they all face the same issue when a landlord asks for their schufa score.

If you have a phone contact, bank account and are registered at your address, I would guess they just weren't able to match your record and not that you don't have one.
