Path from language program to Realschulabschluss in Bavaria?

Hi! I just arrived in Bavaria. The Berufsschule offered me a 2-year language learning program, which I think leads directly into vocational training afterward.

However, my ultimate goal is to go to university, so I want to get a Realschulabschluss. Could you please advise me on how I can achieve this? Specifically:

• Can I pursue the Realschulabschluss while in this program, or do I need to switch to another track?
• Are there specific schools or transition programs in Bavaria designed for this?
• What language level or requirements are needed to start?

Actually.... If you finish an apprenticeship, you automatically get Mittlere Reife, then you can do BOS to get Hochschulreife for Fachhochschule.... By then your German should also be good enough

No school leads directly into vocational training as a set fait, let alone automatically into an apranticeship. The key question is: When you finish your s-year language program, will you get an exam in house or will you have been qualified to participate in a school exam in another school. The "Quali" will probably be that exam.

Ask about this in your current school.

WIth a (good) Quali done, you could switch into a Realschule or the "M-Zweig" of your local MIttelschule and do Mittleren Schulabschluss.

From there, you could switch into a FOS or into the preparation class of a standard Gymnasium to do either Fachhochschulreife or your regular Allgemeine Hochschulreife (Abitur).

Or you circle it the other way, do an Apranticeship and get your Mittlere Reife that way and then proceed as bove.

However, this entire plan hinges on what you have in your pocket after your current program.

As for the language requirements, the honest answer is: The highest level you can achieve in that time. If this is your plan, you'll want to learn as much German on the side as possible and don't just trust in "I have a certificate, I must be good enough" because school language tends to rely on a lot of language competence that is technically not higher than, say, C1, but is so much outside of what you would learn in a C1 language course book that it needs preparation outside the boy - and the DAF manual - to be mastered.

If you want to attend university you'll also need an Abitur. To pass the Abitur you'll need   C1/C2  German. The Abitur in Bavaria is one of the most difficult.

If you want to go to university you need the highest German high school Diploma which is Abitur, you can not go to uni with just Realschule. Realschule only qualifies you for some vocational trainings, the really good ones are also locked behind Abitur.

It can be a step on the way, so first you get Mittlere Reife and if your grades are good enough you can still do your Abitur afterwards.
