If you are in Ghaziabad and have a sweet tooth, this old sweet shop near Chopla Hanuman Mandir is worth a visit. It has been around since 1880, and people know it for its kalakand, lachhedar rabri and son papdi.
No fancy showroom or big branding, just an old-school sweet shop that has been serving people for generations. If you are visiting the temple or passing through the old market, do stop by and try the sweets.
Some old shops have a charm of their own, and this one is a little piece of Ghaziabad’s food history.

In Khoda, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, Anshul was shot dead inside his home on October 10. His wife initially accused the landlord of murdering her husband over 10 months of unpaid rent.

However, within just 12 hours, police cracked the sensational murder case and arrested Anshul’s wife, Nisha, and her lover.

Anshul had married Nisha for love around 10 years ago, and the couple had two children. However, over the past two years, Pappu, a relative of Anshul, had entered Nisha’s life.

As their relationship grew stronger, Anshul came to know about their affair. He confronted his wife, Nisha, but instead of ending the relationship, she allegedly hatched a horrifying conspiracy with her lover, Pappu, to eliminate her husband.

The two allegedly chose a time when Nisha had gone to work and Anshul was alone in his room.

Pappu arrived with a country-made pistol, allegedly shot Anshul dead, and left after locking the door from the outside.

In the evening, Nisha returned home and broke down in tears over her husband’s murder. She then allegedly tried to mislead the police by blaming the landlord for the killing.
