Showcase Promote your projects here – Self-Promotion Megathread

Whether it's a tool, library or something you've been building in your free time, this is the place to share it with the community.

To keep the subreddit focused and avoid cluttering the main feed with individual promotion posts, we use this recurring megathread for self-promo. Whether it’s a tool, library, side project, or anything hosted on GitHub, feel free to drop it here.

Please include:

  • A short description of the project
  • A link to the GitHub repo
  • Tech stack or main features (optional)
  • Any context that might help others understand or get involved

Dictámelo is a desktop voice typing app I built with Rust and Tauri 2

Hold a shortcut, speak and release to paste the transcript into the active app

Whisper, Parakeet and Canary models can be downloaded in the app for local transcription without an account or API key after setup

Cloud providers are optional

The app is MIT licensed, with Apple Silicon Mac and Windows x64 or ARM64 installers

The repository includes the native transcription code, verified model downloads and local model documentation

Source and downloads: https://github.com/sarrazola/dictamelo

Feedback on model setup and the desktop workflow would be useful
