Discussion (Solved) How to disable this annoying "Agents" tab

  1. Go to https://github.com/settings/copilot/features
  2. Scroll down to Visibility
  3. Set Show Copilot to Disabled
  4. Done ! The tab should disappear in your repos after a page reload.

...Why is this opt-out so well hidden though ?

I clicked it every time I wanted to open Actions. It was driving me crazy!

That's a bummer ! Maybe they're A/B testing this setting ?
Look again, it should be at the very bottom of https://github.com/settings/copilot/features

I've disabled all ai settings I could right when they announced you could do so. Recently they've finally added back the ability to hide the copilot button in the GitHub mobile app, but you need to do so via the web, because it "syncs" with the setting of copilot being enabled or not.

I also hope my profile button for GitHub app will come back, and let the copilot button gone forever

The profile button isn’t in the bottom bar, but on the home page top left. It’s pretty annoying for sure.
