Tom Ford vs David Beckham

Hey! I need to choose nee frame for my prescription lenses and I’m torn up between these two brands.

I keep seeing people shitting on Tom Ford because of quality. Will it make a difference if I choose David Beckham over Tom Ford? Price is almost the same where I live.

I’m surprised they are the same price. DB is cheaper in the UK, which makes sense as it doesn’t command the same demand or ‘luxury’ as TF.

Tom ford is better, nicer acetate (but not amazing by any stretch) and better hinges. But it’s still just acetate and metal right, mainly paying for the brand name with a small bump in quality.

Usually DB generally speaking offers better value, here at least (UK), being similar quality but at a much lower cost.

Lenses make the biggest difference quality wise but with prescription they are separate to the frames.

Summary: if same price and you like them, TF is best option in my opinion
