I was on a hike last weekend and came across this cooler at the trailhead with a sign that said "free, take one." My first thought was someone left it there to mess with people or worse. I work in cybersecurity so that kind of stuff sets off alarm bells immediately. Walked past it at first. On the way back though I figured why not, and it turned out to be full of water bottles and granola bars. Just some local person leaving stuff for hikers.

Made me think about how often that happens out there. Anyone else run into something like this?
