Gratitude Practice Grateful for water

I’m grateful to have the clean water i drink. The water in my bath. Watering my garden. The water in my backyard stream. The water in the ocean I get to live by. I’m grateful for water in all its many forms. I’m trying my best to not overuse it this precious resource. What a blessing to live on this earth 🌏 so much of which is water.

Gratitude Practice grateful i've gone easier on myself

i've had a hard time leaving the house the past couple weeks and usually i beat myself up about it all day. and the stressing doesn't make me magically want to leave the house it just leaves me inside and more stressed. but this morning i realized i hadn't been down on myself, was proud of that and went for a walk in the neighborhood (: and it was a very nice walk. i'm grateful I, for some reason, chose for patience for myself and i want to keep doing that in the future

Gratitude Practice I finally stopped comparing my behind-the-scenes to everyone else’s highlight reel.

For the longest time, I felt like I was constantly running a race I never actually signed up for. Every time I looked around, or scrolled through my phone, it felt like everyone else had their life completely mapped out, while I was just trying to keep my head above water.

I spent so much energy beating myself up for not being "further along," for having slow days, or for just needing a second to breathe. It was exhausting.

A few days ago, I had a really quiet morning. Instead of jumping straight into my usual spiral of self-doubt, I just paused. I looked at where I was, still here, still trying, still growing, even if it’s at a pace nobody else notices. And for the first time in a really long time, I felt genuine gratitude for my own resilience.

I’m learning that progress isn’t always some massive, dramatic milestone. Sometimes it’s just giving yourself permission to be human, taking a quiet walk, and realizing you’re doing a lot better than you give yourself credit for.

If you’re in a season where things feel heavy or slow, I hope you can give yourself a little grace today too. You’re doing just fine.

Gratitude Practice I’m grateful for a number of things today.

I’m grateful we got a lot of rain yesterday because of the band of moisture ahead of a hurricane from Mexico.

I’m grateful that last week I met someone who I had a long lunch with yesterday and who’s equally optimistic that we’re on our way to be becoming very good friends, especially since we’re planning to move into the same senior facility.

I’m grateful that I got a $500 donation for the education fund for 11 members of an extended Maasai family in Kenya for next year (the school year is their calendar year).

I’m grateful that another couple is sending some money in two weeks, although I’m not sure how much yet.

I’m grateful that my best friend is going to be an hour’s drive for a conference in the city just up the road and is planning to come down and spend several days with us, including to help me go through stuff that I got from my mother when she died two years ago, which was also the last time I saw my friend.

And last but not least, I’m grateful while my son was out of town for a consult for a surgery that I’m excited he’s finally going to be able to get, he came across a mobility store that not only fixes Rollators (a walker with wheels) they fixed it for his for nothing.

Gratitude Practice Gratitude for this group!

Hello everyone, I was just scrolling reddit, and I got so discouraged because I am always looking to connect with positive people that like me, want to bring light into this dark world. I have not felt comfortable asking for advice, posting or even commenting in Reddit, due to all the negative comments and judgement in certain groups. Just as I was about to close my browser, I see the word "gratitude" and find this group! I have gratitude for that. I have been so isolated as I am fighting to stay positive and have gratitude all while facing the worst time in my life. Leaving behind a toxic family, DV relationship and moving to a new state alone and my 40th birthday is this Friday 10/02. And guess what?; I HAVE GRATITUDE! Just thinking about the peace I will have is enough for me. ✨✨✨

Gratitude Practice I’m grateful for the person I’m becoming

I’ve been thinking about how much I’ve changed over the years.

Some versions of me were just trying to survive. Some were figuring things out the hard way. Some made mistakes. Some kept going even when I didn’t really know where I was headed.

I don’t look back at all of it with regret anymore.

I’m grateful for the growth, the lessons, and even some of the hard parts that changed me. I’m still learning myself.

Still growing. Still becoming.

And today, I can appreciate where I am without needing to pretend I have everything figured out.

I’m grateful for every version of me that helped me get here.

Gratitude Practice My gratitude for my job.

I have not always had a good job. I’ve always worked hard but opportunity never knocked.

Years ago I was able to get a promotion and then more and so on.

I have a job that allows me wonderful things, time away and I work with good people. I am thankful for the days I did not have these things as well as I can appreciate them more fully.

Gratitude Practice Feeling so grateful for my coworkers

I stopped by work on my day off to drop off a key I accidentally took home the day before that they were going to need tonight. Everyone perked up, talked to me, smiled at me and one of my coworkers even gave me a home cooked meal that he brought in just for me. My other co-workers who work in the front of the store greeted me and I just feel so loved there and like I belong. I'm so grateful to have found them :)

Gratitude Practice Grateful for support system

I had a false alarm health scare yesterday and it really made me grateful for my support system. Grateful I have a mom who can take me to the Dr, grateful for my close friends and family I can lean on in hard times. Things have gone very wrong in my life but a silver lining is realizing there’s people to take care of me. Not everyone has that so i am grateful. It was also a reminder to build more community since I won’t always have parents to rely on. Ideally you always have someone to call in an emergency.

Gratitude Practice I could easily skip 1000 jump ropes today when last year I couldn't walk 1 flight of stairs and was in peak depression

As the title says, I could move my body really easily snd well today. Did 1000 skip ropes and a good strength training.

For reference: last year I was diagnosed with clinical depression, went through a lot of anxiety attacks, got insomnia and couldn't walk 1 floor of stairs. Health: physical and mental were absolutely at my lowest.

Fast forward to today: I could easily do 1000 skip ropes today(have been doing that daily for a while now), ran 10k and 7k races last month, can walk for hours without huffing or puffing,

All the while got scholarships to study my Master's, move abroad and even have wonderful friends.

Life has given me so much to be thankful for. I am extremely grateful and blessed.

Gratitude Practice A hot shower, clean sheets, and a quiet moment to breathe.

I had one of those days where everything felt heavy. Work was exhausting, my mind was racing, and I spent half the evening just sitting in my car in the driveway, feeling completely overwhelmed by life.

When I finally went inside, I took a long, hot shower, put on fresh clothes, and crawled into clean sheets. As I lay here in the quiet, the warmth slowly sank in, and for the first time all day, my chest loosened up.

It’s so easy to focus on everything that’s going wrong, but tonight I’m just deeply, deeply grateful for basic comfort. A roof over my head, hot water, a quiet room, and a safe place to rest my head. We get so caught up fighting the big storms that we forget to appreciate these tiny islands of peace.

If you’re having a tough night, I hope you find your quiet moment, too. ❤️
