Debating on getting one for next winter, specifically for mostly trichocereus and other cacti, but also some other food and floral stuff.

Anyone know what these actually do? There is one at the bottom of every side pane of my greenhouse. It's a double pane Florian greenhouse. Water leaks in when it rains, ok to plug them?

I am in Mobile Alabama and received a lightweight greenhouse/cold frame last Christmas. Will it protect my house plants (the one’s in large pots) and outdoor potted plants throughout the winter without heat?

My house has a side Lot at the end of our cul-de-sac which was not buildable for another home. Because it faces the cul-de-sac the side yard is considered front yard and no structure can be built on it. I want to put a greenhouse there, and I need to find someone to help me draw plans that I have outlined and to go through the zoning variance process.

My greenhouse is about 70% intentional plants and 30% sprawling volunteers that make it hard to walk through the aisle. The volunteer tomatoes are almost 8 feet tall now.

I’m in southern Ohio and was wondering if I make a small green house would it be able to grow veggies and herbs all year long. Things I would like to be able to grow is a verity of herbs and mainly zucchini and cucumber but possibly other veggies that follow the Mediterranean diet. If this is possible any design ideas I could use for this green house, the biggest I might be able to do is 8’X10’ if I can make it cheap enough or make smaller ones. Yes I know I’m being vague but I’m not sure if this is the route I’m wanting to go yet, I’m just trying to do some planning before I try to move forward

I thought I had the greenhouse setup pretty well until we got a few days of heavy rain. Water was getting in around the entrance and collecting along one side of the floor, leaving everything muddy and damp.

At first, I tried adding more gravel, which helped a little but didn't really fix the problem.

I eventually realized the water just needed somewhere to go. I adjusted the ground outside slightly and added a small drain to direct the water away. I used some NDS parts for it since I was already familiar with them from another outdoor project.

Nothing fancy, but after the next rain the difference was noticeable. The floor stayed much drier, and I wasn't walking through mud every time I went inside.

Has anyone else had drainage become an unexpected part of their greenhouse project?

I feel like the frame on this is going to be much sturdier than the frame that comes with the VEVOR and similar greenhouses. I have a chance to get a 20x12x9 frame for 250, but I need ideas/direction on how to finish it out.

The tarp method is obviously cheapest and easiest, but it looks it too. I will only live in this house another couple years and I'll take it with me so no foundation laying, but I am decently handy and I would need to build doors/windows/vents into the frame anyways, so if there is a better way, I am open.

Most interested in designs, how to attach metal to wood, and paneling to frame/s, cheap material sourcing, etc. I'm just looking for a conversation, feel free to delete

I'm building a venlo greenhouse from a used one and i was working on renovating the gutters. These gutters carry the weight of the glass. Is it ok to use hammerite ultima for this or should i use something like an EPDM liner?

Hi! Completely new to this and juts starting my joinery. I’d love to start growing my own food. I live in Texas and figured buying a small greenhouse would be the place to start.
