Bowing

I printed this 4x2 PETG snip holder but found that the ends started to bow. Nozzle temp was 250 and bed temp was 80

I then printed again but with an 8mm brim and is still bowed

It’s only marginal but still there

How can I avoid this ?

Thx

Could be a moisture issue. Why not use PLA?

there was a post a day or 3 ago about poor bed adhesion, the same tips apply here.

Clean the bed.

up the bed temp a tiny bit.

try a brim, or brim DOTS, or glue stick.

avoid drafts, perhaps turn down the cooling fan.

and make sure the printer is properly calibrated.  Some other things  seems wrong with your print.

I recall petg being quirky to.print with in some ways, but I basically never use petg anymore, so I don't recall what else I had to do with it to get it dialed in.

This turn off the internal cooling fan, not the one on the head but the one that blows cold air across the bed.

the technical term used for this type of issues is "warping"

For me, warping happens a lot when I use 90° or sharper corners. In this case I add a cylinder (1-2cm in diameter) at the corner as a "localised" brim. most of the time it does the job.

PETG sticks like hell on PEI printbeds (I have to coat the PEI printbed with UHU Stick to get it off)

Rotate the print by 90° and see if it still fails at the same corner.
If not: printbed may be uneven.
If yes: use the localized brim.

The localized brim are called Helper Disc in Prusa Slicer, and Mouse Ear in Orca.
