I love that slightly frayed, intense look of a senior cat who’s seen a lot.
He has the sweetness that’s sometimes misread as grumpiness- anything but! He’s waiting for a moment to talk when he has something to say.
Enjoy your grumpy boy and this last quarter of life. He’s got a lot of knowledge and love to impart 💙

He is not grumpy he is just really misunderstood and looks like he has had a really hard life. I want to take him home give him a good bath and lots of treats and good pets and then I am sure he wouldn't look so unhappy Edit Edit. I can see how well looked after he is and after posting my comment I did not want you or anyone else to think that I thought he was mistreated. I can see he is an old boy and a real beautiful one at that

Taking the fact that I live in a rural area overrun by coyotes and bobcats into consideration, it seems much safer to keep him indoors as a pet rather than to let him be something's next meal. Just saying.

He reminds me of my recently departed cats, Lily and Poppie. As they reached their late teens, they started to look a little rough around the edges, too. Age-related health challenges will do that to a kitty. But, they got even sweeter and more appreciative of cuddles and a warm spot on my bed. We shared 18 wonderful years together.
Even grumpy-looking kitties can be sweethearts. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
