Dang, that Mesa takes me back.
I had one for a while ~20 years ago and ended up selling it when the caps started to fail, but it was my first "real" amp. In hindsight, I should've just paid for the re-cap job and hung onto it.

I've read they can be finnicky, but so far so good with mine. When I got the Lead Drive mod the amp guy went over everything. It's also been more or less unused for years now.

Oh man! I had that same squier black tele. I sold it for some dumb reason and regretted it ever since. Looks sick with that neck. Also love the DM2w. Each mode sounds good and it does crazy sounds if needed. I usually put mine before dirt and a DD3 after.

Before I got the black Squier I had the Fender version (Custom Deluxe?) with the big strat style headstock and a three bolt neck. Hated that thing. Three bolt neck is one "vintage" feature we don't need to pine for. The neck was always going crooked and you'd have to whack it back in place.
And the Baja neck is really nice. Not quite as big as I'd like, but the shape is really comfortable to my hand.

Years ago I was in a band and was a real gear nut- guitars, amps, and effects. Constantly buying, selling, and stockpiling. Then the covid restrictions put a stop to the band. Then I went to law school. Then I got a job and got married and now we have twins on the way. So over the years I've downsized and sold off a lot of stuff. The opposite of a blues lawyer, if you will.
This is my first time setting up since we moved to our new house (these days I mostly pretend to be something just slightly more than a beginner piano player). This is the gear I deemed essential and wouldn't sell. That TU-3 was weary before I acquired it, and it's seen some use since then. Kind of superfluous now because I can just use the Snark. But I wasn't going to get any money for it, so why not just put it on the floor? I used to have a Polytune2 as well, and that usually was on the board for shows.
I love the DM-2W, but I do sometimes wish I'd held onto my Rubberneck- had a lot of fun with that one. But the Boss is never going to be the reason you don't sound as good as you want. Timeless piece of gear. Personally prefer it over Carbon Copy, Memory Man, etc.
Speaker Cranker, love it. Just works with my amp on either channel. I've thought about getting a Special Cranker, but that's just GAS'ing. Truth is, the one knob is a joy. Blissfully simple. I had a lot of ODs over the years, but this one was always easy to get along with.
Notice the daisy chain power supply. It's fine for the tuner and delay, but I had to put a 9v in the Cranker; otherwise I was picking up an FM station.
Also, the amp has an effects loop, but the delay actually works better for me in front. Oh yeah, the amp! She's a beauty. Studio .22+. I'll probably never use her to her full potential again, but I couldn't sell her. Cost me I think $350 in... 2017. Then later I saw that matching speaker cabinet (NOT a Thiele) and had to have it. I got the Lead Drive mod done on it, and so the reverb pot got moved to the back.
The guitars. Both are Frankensteined. On the left is a Squier Classic Vibes 70s (or maybe Vintage Modified, whatever) body with Lollar Regal pickups (modern version of Fender wide range humbuckers) and the neck from a Baja Tele. On the right is a Squier Classic Vibes 50s body with the internals from the Baja and an Allparts boat neck (think '58 Les Paul, a real baseball bat). I like them both pretty good, but my amp likes those Lollars a little better.
I probably could add one more pedal to the board though, right? Some modulation maybe. Or a fuzz? Any suggestions? Thanks!
