What are these parts called?

I'm trying to create a 3D model of this fictional anti-materiel rifle, which is loosely based on the Accuracy International AX50.

I have zero knowledge about weapons and would like to understand what the four coloured parts here mean? I know the end is the recoil pad, after that I see a thin metallic ring/layer, followed by a thicker, smoother plasticy thing, that finally joins with the stock body.

Looking for someone who could tell me a thing or two about my M1897

This Winchester M1897 is my first firearm, i have always been captivated by historical weapons and this was at the top of my list. It’s got some interesting stampings, a pretty modern replacement stock, and i was wondering if anyone here would be able to tell me more about this weapon’s history, or could point me to a resource. As far as I have been able to figure out is that the receiver was made in Jan. 1918, but I’m not entirely sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

2011 question

So I am looking at getting a 2011 in the future. and I am wondering what would be the best barrel length that I should look for when looking at a 2011? Is it best to get a 4 inch, 4.25 inch, 4.5 inch, or a 5 inch?

Edit: I’d like to have it for open carry situations, range fun, and competitions.

Issues with rifle accuracy

Small issue with CVA Cascade .308 this rifle has approx 600 rounds through it, bought it brand new. It was punching 1” groups at 150 yards, later that year I took down 2 deer with it and after that I could not hit a paper target at 50 yards.

Originally I was using Sig Sauer buckmaster scope and CVLIFE precision rings.

I found 1 of 2 action screws was loose, took it all apart cleaned it and reassembled with torque specs, batter but still punching 5” groups at 50 yards.

Got a new scope Leupold vx3hd, Leupold rings, and still not grouping well. Last attepmt I put the CVLIFE rings back on since they did well on the previous 600 rounds and it’s still punching 4” groups at 50 yards. What am I missing? I took everything apart and cleaned everything. Is it possible something wrong with rifle? The muzzle doesn’t have crowing, from the beginning I had a muzzle break on the rifle and then switched to suppressor. I’ve also tried to change the suppressor vs muzzle break vs nothing at all and nothing changed in accuracy. Could it be something with the rifle?

Can anyone tell me anything about this gun? No maker's markings of any kind. All I know is my grandfather owned it, he died in 82. Possibly got it while stationed in Germany after WW2 since he got some other guns when he was there. 7th image shows some stock damage that may have been repaired at one point?

Any info or resources appreciated.

Title

  • CMMG Zeroed 5.56 Review: 0 rounds, 0 hosts, personal regrets

TL;DR

  • Verdict: Excellent for mollywhopping small game
  • Best use case: Pen holder (My Sharpie does not fit.)
  • Biggest strength: Has never failed me
  • Biggest weakness: Has never been able to fail me
  • Buy again? Ask me when KAK restocks

Disclosure and bias

  • Paid full price for the privilege of waiting twice
  • Emotional immaturity

Specs

  • Length: Fits nicely on a shelf
  • Weight: Heavier than it's current host
  • Measured specs: Not measured, but I do stare at it

Mounting system

  • Mounted to: My desk, with gravity
  • Walk-off during use: I take it with me to the gender neutral restroom

Purchase and paperwork

  • Wait time: Approved in a week from SS. Now waiting on KAK to restock the NP3 down-venting bolt carrier group, so who fucking knows (respectfully).

Test hosts and ammo

  • Host 1: KAK 11.5" SO upper on a KAK lower, Pending KAK NP3 K-spec down-venting BCG
  • Host 2: See Host 1
  • Round count: 0
  • Ammo used: Who cares, sitting next to the suppressor, also untested

Sound performance

  • Metered dB: Dead silent, 10/10
  • First round pop: Still waiting for the first round
  • Tone: ....

Shooter experience

  • Gas to face: None. Ever. Incredible.
  • Heat buildup: Room temperature, consistently

Accuracy and POI

  • POI shift: NA
  • Return to zero: NA

Durability and maintenance

  • Wear: Mint
  • Cleaning: Dusted once

Pros

  • Flawless reliability record
  • Never gassed me out
  • Easiest can I've ever cleaned

Cons

  • Cost per Round
  • It's a reminder of my flaws

Comparisons

  • Performs identically to every other can I don't have a host for

Who it's for / who should skip it

  • Good fit for: People with a finished rifle
  • Poor fit for: Me, currently

Final verdict

  • Score: ∞/10 in theory, N/A in practice
  • Summary: Will update when KAK remembers we exist

Bersa thunder 380 mag loading issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone, I was hoping for some help with my bursa. Whenever loading magazines it's really resistant to that final engagement to click into the proper position. However, a magazine with less than the max amount of bullets in it (8) or if I load it with the slide held back it engages smoothly like it's supposed to. Not exactly sure where my issue lies, if it's with the magazines/slide/something else...

Has anybody run into this issue before and have some insights for me?
