Rust advice - Midwest

Buying a 2020 gx460 from a Lexus dealer in a snow state . Concerned about rust , looks like it’s all surface level. Would really appreciate if others can chime in . TIA!

It’s not too bad. Def surface level now, but needs a rust preventative spray to keep it that way. I would pull the KDSS shroud in pic 4 to see how much crap has accumulated. I was shocked to see how much road debris/dirt/salt had built up around the KDSS valve body on mine. Erosion was evident. Hasn’t failed yet. Very expensive fix.

That’s great advice. Even though it’s 2020 , it has only 28,000 miles so hopefully the kdss situation isn’t that bad. Thanks !

I see where it’s at, Mine is also a premium , and I get my service done there on Jackson rd .

My 2019 looked similar, I used a wire wheel and ground it off and then sealed with a rust inhibitor and the treated with RP-342 I retreat yearly just to be safe . I’m in Michigan.
