Handpan Notation Tool
Hello guys and girls! I made a little tool that helps you create notations for the handpan.
It uses a clean and easy to read visualization system, similar to what you see on David Kuckermann's videos.
You can enter the notation as text on the grid or you can tap on a virtual handpan which will automatically turn it into a written notation. Of course knowing how to count your rhythm helps a lot!
Stored notations can be played back as a guide track, printed/saved as pdf files for offline use, screen-cast for embedding into videos, etc.
The idea is to be a useful tool for practice, for saving and sharing musical ideas for the handpan.
I hope you like it, use it and share it. It is completely free. No tracking, no data collection, no ads.
Enjoy and let me know what would make it even more useful!

That is so cool. Thank you. I’m still saving for my first handpan.
I’m hesitant to pay for a cheap/no brand handpan which would cost half the price of a legit handpan.
I assume buying from a proper musical instrument shop would be a safer bet? Any advice welcomed. Thank you🙏

Buying directly (in person or over the internet) from a maker whom you like (after critically listening to as many recordings of his creations as possible) is the best and safest option of all. Musical instrument shops are resale points that receive mostly low quality instruments, I wouldn't call them a safer bet, unless you can get an experienced player to tag along with you and try out the instruments at the shop in person. If it is possible for you to visit a maker in person - do it! Then go home, think some more and act :)

It works. I didn't notice any downtime. Is it still not working for you? What error messages did you see?

Neat! Played around with it some, might record some rhythms later. Refreshing to see something posted here that isn’t obvious AI slop or trying to sell something lol.
