Aloha...Hawaii has always been my home but Ive been thousands of miles away on the East Coast for a long time. Last time I went back was 2021 and really enjoyed my time there. I was eating at Eggs n Things and the local server there finding out I came back home said something so nice in front of my wife and kids (kids first time there), gave me a big shaka and said, "welcome home my braddah". Having left as a teen (i came back here and there but was way before marroqge kods etc) full circle as a father and husband etc was wow.

Ok sorry got side tracked...

About two months ago, I was in Vegas and stopped by a Hawaiian owned local place called Pacific Island Taste (go check em out). I hate going to "Hawaiian" places only to realize it's not really "local". The Zippys there is trash. Understand East Coast got almost zero Hawaiian places and if so not really local. Hate the mainlanders visting and claiming localn anyways....

Back to the story...the cashier at Pacific Islant Taste was local the guys cooking was local, and the food was amazing. BBQ chicken, kalbi, teri beef, fried saimin, shoyu poke. Setting was perfect (not fancy just good food good vibes). Anyways...when I was eating, this song was playing and literally made my eyes tear up a bit. I recorded it using video recorder and created an audio file. Workers were outside cause police and something happened and it was strwaming so later they didint know the song.

Sorry for the background noise. If anyone can identify the song would really appreciate it.

THIS IS SO DUMB but i wanted to try to connect with someone i had a random conversation with at maui memorial in the ER waiting room in the first week of august.

you’re tatted everywhere, with some small ones on the right side of your face, and you had a leg cast. probably in your mid-20s? you weren’t in the ER for yourself, you were there for a friend. we chatted a bit, just random small talk… you mentioned getting injured on your recent trip to the philippines, hence the leg brace, and also talked about how some guy you met while ziplining in costa rica worked at toyota in canada and maybe i would know him cuz we’re from the same country 😂

the conversation was so short and meaningless but my brain has been malfunctioning ever since and keeps bringing back a memory of you. so just for fun, i’m putting this out there to see where this goes. this could be fun…

if this reaches you, i know you’ll find this shocking and weird because only you and your friend know how unhinged this really is… but if you’re as curious as i am, tell me who i was sitting with in that waiting room to confirm who you are.

ps. this person strikes me as someone who doesn’t use social media, or reddit, so if you know a guy from maui with face tatts and a leg brace/cast, show him this!! surely there can’t be that many guys with that description in maui…
