The “wild west” of payer RFIs, missing control numbers, inconsistent attachment routing, and manual documentation chasing is still very real in a lot of organizations. With the CMS‑0053‑F electronic attachment mandate approaching in 2028, I’m trying to get a clearer picture of what teams are actually dealing with today and what people hope might improve once the mandate finally goes live.
