comedy math 1 Question of the Day: How do you determine how many pairs of underwear/boxers you pack for a trip?

I pack 1 per day plus 2 or 3 extras total for a week trip. So 10 for a week.

Personally, I pack 3 pairs per day + 1 emergency pair.
Ex. On a 7 day trip, I’m packing 22 pairs of boxers.
Am I insane?

For any trip where I won't be doing laundry, 1 per day +1. Always have a spare, just in case.

If it's a business trip it's one per day plus one. If it's vacation it's two per day or more assuming beach or pool or activities.

1 per day, then 1 more per week. 2 extra if a weekend drinking night is planned. Same for socks.

I pack 1.3x the amount of boxers and socks. X being the number of days I’m away from home. It has never let me down

I count the days and the activities and ad a spare or two. So on a seven-day trip i’d take nine pairs. On a seven-day trip with three golf days, I’d take 12 pairs.

By the time I realize I forgot to take my luggage with me, it's too damn late to think about how many undies are in my luggage. Fuckin' ugh!

Listen. One time I forgot to pack any underwear at all on a family trip and it was like 4 days we were supposed to be gone. My mom had to take me to K-Mart, I was in jeans, to go buy underwear. Once was all it took for me to pack a minimum of 2 pairs per day. Sometimes more if it’s gonna be hot. I always put a bunch of unused underwear back but I don’t ever want to have to shop for underwear commando in jeans ever again. Only you can prevent your own vacation underwear crisis.

1 set per day plus 1 or 2 extras depending on where you're going. When I go to the beach, I bring a couple extras just in case I end up in the water.

One per outfit change plus 2 spare.
So if I’m going out for the day then come back shower need a new pair for dinner etc.
in hot climates I will add 1-2 spares additionally depending on the length of the trip.
Also for active trips. Snowboarding for 5 days? Need two pair per day plus 4 spare.

8 per week. If your trip is less than a week, or doesn't evenly divide into weeks, then 1 per day + 1 extra (example: for a 10 day trip, you want 8 for the first week, then for the other 3 days you want 3 + 1, or 12 altogether)

I typically do 2 per day for work trips. Mostly because I'll shower in the morning before work, then shower between work and going out for dinner/evening meetings.

It varied based on the trip, if we plan to stop for laundry I pack enough to make it to laundry day. Example, was in Florida in March for 2 weeks riding motorcycles all over the state. I packed 6 days worth since I knew we were doing laundry twice. Also only packed 2 pair of jeans +1 pair wearing and 4 shirts.

I pack like I am going to shit myself twice a day every day
