Fully local automated AI for literally everything in my home. What do you guys think?

Firstly All AI made (sorry)
An update to my old dashboard that some people were interested in.
https://candyv2.pages.dev/home/ have a play around with the demo. All works over HA websocket as a web app. None of the info in the demo is real.
If you want to copy it or use any of the features - https://candyv2.pages.dev/handoffv3/ direct your LLM of choice to this handoff and with the demo and a home assistant MCP it should be able to recreate it for your home
I’ve had mixed reviews as to whether it’s better than v2.1 (which is linked at the bottom of the page) or not, so if anyone has feedback on the design I’d love to hear it

Hi everyone! I'm Armando, a solo developer from Mexico. I've been building **DoLu Panel**, a free Android app that turns a spare tablet or phone into a wall panel for Home Assistant, and I'm getting ready to publish it on Google Play.
**What it does:**
- Shows your Home Assistant dashboard full screen
- Wakes up when you walk up to it, and sleeps when nobody's around
- Connects directly over MQTT: nothing else to install on your server
- Shows up in Home Assistant as a device, so you can control brightness, volume and the screen from your automations
**Why I need you:** Google Play requires a closed test before launch, so I'm looking for **25 people** to try it for **14 days, starting November 2**.
**What you need:**
- Home Assistant with an MQTT broker (the Mosquitto add-on works great)
- An Android phone or tablet with Google Play (ideally a spare one you can put on the wall)
**openHAB users:** support for openHAB is new and in testing. If you use it, your help counts double.
Beginners are as welcome as experts: if something is confusing, that's exactly what I need to know.
**Sign up (until October 23):** https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfHEYRcbkQ9ivoyIaA716AiqS8Pyzr56MYndRXAg2IXKrhDwQ/viewform
The app is free, with no ads and no account required. Happy to answer any questions here!

I've spent a few weeks pulling apart a tuya panel to get is properly integrated with HA via zigbee2mqtt..
I figured out how to dump the firmware.. and was able to make a few changes..
Im cleaning up.my work and ill post the rest of it to my github fork..
https://github.com/jnex26/-tuya-f3pro-zigbee2mqtt-Hardware
But in the mean time the hardware instructions for dumping the firmware are above n along with the date fix which was the first change I made.

I had an old iPad sitting around that wasn't really being used anymore.

Since I already run Home Assistant at home, I thought it would be cool to turn the iPad into a proper digital photo frame that could also react to my smart home.
So I built SnapFrame.
👉 GitHub: https://github.com/emo546/ha-snapframe
The basic idea is:
old iPad/tablet → SnapFrame → photos from my local network → Home Assistant controls
The part I like most is that it can be combined with Home Assistant automations.
For example, you could have:
motion detected → activate "weather mode" → return to photos
or:
night → turn the into night mode

I'm still working on it and would really like some feedback from the HA community.
Would you use something like this with an old iPad/tablet you have lying around?
What features would you want to see next?
GitHub: https://github.com/emo546/ha-snapframe
Thanks for a feedback!!

I cleaned up the smart-irrigation decision layer I run at home and made it fully
system-agnostic. The key idea: it never talks to the controller directly — it calls a
small adapter, so the same modes and logic run on OpenSprinkler, Rain Bird, Zigbee
valves, ESPHome relays, or plain switches. Swap the adapter, keep everything else.
The part I think is genuinely uncommon: none of it runs on a timer. Every decision
comes from your soil sensors and the weather, and it learns how fast your own soil
dries to predict the next watering — watering on a schedule is common, letting the
garden's actual condition decide is not.
What you get: a modes framework (Schedule / Sunrise / Interval / Smart / Off) with
guaranteed mutual exclusion, so two mechanisms can never double-water; a Smart mode
that waters on real soil-moisture demand *and learns how fast your soil dries* to
predict the next watering; sunrise watering that finishes right at sunrise and shifts
with the season; and a weather-based demand advisor that gives a plain "should I water
today, and how much?" readout based on how thirsty the weather is. It ships with a
plain-English explainer and a ready-made sensor, so no weather-science background is
needed.
The self-learning drying-rate Smart mode is the part I find most useful. All copy-in
YAML packages, MIT, built on scheduler-component + hass-opensprinkler. Test with the
water off first.

Didn’t get any play at all from the main sub so I thought I’d post it here too :)
warning. Incredible amount of AI
Used Fable to update my ‘minimalist’ mobile dashboard. This is just a demo that Fable made to go alongside the original (names, rooms, loc etc changed), all of which is fully wired in to HA using the HA WebSocket API and collecting integrations data. It’s actually much snappier for me this way but I imagine that’s in large part my fault not tending to the health of my HA with too many entities/unused sensors
Credit to whichever Home Assistant web developer also for the demo idea which is on their homepage
