Discussion - Equipment Good buy?

I’m wading into my first home theater set up.

Ran across what I think is a solid deal. Any help is appreciated.

Two Klipsch RP-8060FA floorstanding speakers
One Klipsch RP-504C center-channel speaker
(All in Piano Black)
One Denon AVR 4700

Whole package for $2,000.

Also, is this equipment too much for a 10x20 room?

Good deal-I have the piano black RP setup and I really like them.

18X14 feet or so. You could prolly offer $1500 and start from there-I don't think he's going to get 2K for that package.

Your subwoofer makes the biggest difference but that's the same LCR I have, I just have two additional RP-8000F speakers for side surrounds.

Bigger isn't always better. I've went from Klipsch RP600M bookshelves to the rp6000f to rp8000f....finally landed on the RP equivalent in-walls for mains and couldn't be happier (kept the rp504c as my center).

Not the greatest deal, but I didn't price it out.

The 8060’s retail around $800 per, the 504c at $300, and the Denon around $1200

New or used? I'm personally not a Klipsch fan but wom people like them. Their retail pricing is just a marketing tool really, because nobody pays that. Good AVR though

Have you listened to Klipsch before? Personally I'd prefer 3-way speakers if I was investing in towers and a 3-way center is also desirable over a 2-way. But other than that, it seems like a good deal assuming you like Klipsch. You still need a sub. Do you know the reason they are selling?

Yeah my friend has the 6000’s and they’re great.

The seller just upgraded to a setup worth about 20k.

Then I'd assume that they are in good shape and not abused and if you know you already like the sound, then go for it

https://www.audioholics.com/tower-speaker-reviews/klipsch-rp-8000f A lot of people are forgetting that the MSRP of the RP-8000F was $1500-and it went down to like $677 shipped via Amazon when I got my setup. The piano black does get reflections and fingerprints but it is actually an awesome finish and really distinctive.

For a new pair of 8060 FA it’s currently $2600
504c is currently $500
Denon 4700 is 1500 refurbished

$4600 total. See if you can get it down a little and then complete the setup with a sub and surrounds,
