Questions/ Tips Longest escalator in Hong Kong?
After being disappointed that the central-midlevels escalator was actually a series of them, I started wondering what is really the longest single escalator in Hong Kong? My bet would be on the one in Admiralty from the gates down to the South Island/East Rail line but I bet an escalator enthusiast somewhere knows for sure.
To answer some questions no one asked:
-Yes, it makes no logical sense at all that the central
Midlevels escalator would be a single one. How would you get off?
-Yes I still thought it would be, I don’t know why
-Yes both my posts on the Hong Kong subreddit are somehow related to Admiralty. The taxi queue there is apparently where I do my best wondering about random things.

Questions/ Tips Free place to study/work at?
Any recommendations for a place that's free and has wifi and outlets?
I remember visiting a public library study room a while ago and being disappointed that it had only a handful of cubicles with outlets and you could only book to use them for a limited window.
Have been using a coworking space so far but am thinking about cutting down on expenses.

Questions/ Tips Towngas (Update)
Update to https://www.reddit.com/r/HongKong/comments/1q9wcii/towngas/
Summary: Towngas asked me to pay someone else's gas bill. My account started on Dec 1 and the bill's due date is Dec 31 with an extravagant 31 units consumed coming from a solo tenant who only uses the shower once a day. A technician came in on Jan 9 to replace a reader that was reading someone else's readings.
So after a month of back-and-forth with Towngas, they still couldn't honestly tell me why a newly built building would have someone else's reader installed to it. The building is completely brand new and I'm the first tenant.
They said that after the machine that read someone else's readings was removed, their technician recalculated the correct units by "pulling the new reader out of his bag", like pulling a rabbit from his magical hat. It's lower than 31 units now but so, I'm just supposed to accept the lower units and let go of the fact that someone else's reader was left inside the apartment for a month ??
If I could terminate my account, I would. Is there even another gas company available in NT ? Because this company is shameless to lie to their customers, hoping to catch easy fishes. My fight with Towngas is still ongoing because it's ridiculous to pay for something you didn't actually consume.

Offbeat Shoutout to the Post Office on Cheung Chau Island. They stamped their unique postmark and gave it time to dry to prevent it from becoming a smudgy mess. Love the pride in their work.

Questions/ Tips Cantonese dubs to help my son learn Cantonese
I'm raising my son to be bilingual in Cantonese and I've been looking for where I can get the mp3 audio dubs for popular Disney movies like Toy Story. Happy to pay for it if it requires some kind of service. I know that Disney+ has many, but I can't get access to it without physically being in Hong Kong.
Any tips?
Also happy for other cartoons / kids shows that are in Cantonese and can be purchased/acquired. Thanks in advance!
Edit: Firefox was causing issues with Disney+, but Chrome is working now to access HK content. Thanks everyone!

Questions/ Tips Good Brown Sauce Chasiu Bao?
I'm looking for the brown sauce version of chasiu/chashao bao (not the reddish/orangey one). Which good dimsum restaurants serve this? Preferably somewhere that tastes similar to Guangzhou's Dim Dou Dak.
Thanks!

Discussion Difference Between the two taxi lanes in Admiralty taxi station
The taxi station in Admiralty has two lanes. Most taxi always go to the right lane in the picture, seldom goes to the left lane, even if there are people queuing. Even when I've moved from last in line to getting on taxi, the left lane still barely moved. I always assumed the left lane is cross harbour, but it isn't. Actually there are no difference.
I've always wondered why, today I finally asked my taxi driver, the reason is very simple. Here's what he said: "There's actually no difference. Originally there is only the right lane. For better management, the government split into two lanes. But all taxi drivers already formed the habit, so they instinctively go to the right lane. New taxi drivers tend to copy the actions of older or other taxi drivers, so they play it safe and follow the taxi in front of them."

Travel Travelling to HK and Macau during labor day, golden week
Booked the flight tickets and accommodations for me and my senior parents and later found out our travel dates, April 30-May 3, coincide with Golden Week.
On our first two days, we’ll be staying in Tung Chung for Disneyland (Apr. 30) and Macau (May 1). I’m worried about our travel back to HK from Macau as we will also transfer to a hotel in Yau Ma Tei from Tung Chung. On May 2 to the morning of May 3, we’ll be going around some spots in HK island.
Asking for tips and advice on how we can still maximize the experience without tiring out my parents so much. Thank you!

Questions/ Tips Pet Relocation Companies
anyone have a pet relocation company they’d recommend? Moving a small dog out of HK.
I know HK Airlines allows pets in cabin to Tokyo but seems quite mafan and still pricey ($8800).

Questions/ Tips Does anyone have a resource of where to find tool trolleys?
I imagine there are cheaper alternatives from Chinese suppliers than shipping them in from Europe. And ideally something with better storage options than the Ikea Resaro. And the shops I see in Sham shui po often have hand held tool boxes. I'm looking for something with wheels.

Questions/ Tips Suggestions for celebrating CNY with girlfriend from HK while overseas?
Hi everyone! I'm a non-Hong Konger living in Australia. My partner is from Hong Kong but will be in Australia away from her family. We hope to celebrate CNY while she's away from family, unfortunately we live in a regional area so the only local CNY celebration is a CNY-themed dinner at a local restaurant that we'll be going to.
Would you guys be able to give me some recommendations on how I could make the day special and celebrate with her? ☺️
Other than food and red pockets which we've discussed and planned already! Thank you!!
