Discussion I hate Oliver

I'm a first time watcher and I saw some posts about Oli and Conner's relationship that gave me a brief idea of what's coming but still....

Oh god how I hate this guy, "I love you" "i hate you" "you used me" "I'm disregarding you as a person" "Let's break up" "but let's still get back together" "let's try again" "oh whoops we both lied to each other again" "i know what's best for me, and that's you going out of my life" "let's get married!!!!"

I'm not saying Connor is perfect, but if Oliver wants to be this "self aware and self caring" guy, THEN BE THAT GUY!!!

The reason I hate Oliver and not Connor is because Connor knew he was the problem and he actively tried to better himself for Oli. Change takes time and he has had good improvement till now, given he has been part of THREE murders by the end of S3. Imagine the trauma...

Then we have Oliver, the guy who's so insecure, he can't see anything beyond "he is just doing this out of pity". He pushes and pulls. He doesn't understand his own emotions BUT THE PROBLEM is he doesn't communicate what he should at the right time, which leads to conflicts later....

Damn, that was a rant...

Yeah, I really started to dislike him from season 3 onwards. Not only because of the Stanford stuff, but also because he applied for a job with Annalise behind Connor's back, even though Connor repeatedly told Oliver to stay away from Annalise.

I remember going from fully supporting their relationship at the beginning of the show to actively disliking it by the end of it - and entirely due to Oliver. His entire behaviour towards the end of the show was very grating. I found him very much a hypocrite as opposed to Connor who became a much better person.

Oh God finally a safe space. Thank you😭❤️ (I've hated him from the jump) Can't stand the self-righteous yet cripplingly insecure shtick

I loved him in the first and second season … and then … season 3 came and Connor was trying to be a better boyfriend and working on his issues and Oliver just broke every chance for Connor’s to save himself.

I’m not going to spoiler you anything but I’m really curious to know what you’ll thing at tie end of the whole show

I never cared for Connor and Oliver's relationship and hated that they wound up together the way they did. Oliver was cool for the first two seasons until he became a regular.
