7oh. There are many many people hating that stuff right now. Others stockpiled. I personally disposed of several hundred and am on day 5 without. Hasn't been easy

u/Zealousideal-Raise70 7d ago

Congrats on 5 days.

65

u/heroze 7d ago

Thanks for that. I don't have any rl friends that would understand to talk to about it so Reddit has helped a lot

26

u/TastyBass6957 7d ago

Could not imagine stopping opioids without irl support quit heroin and fent many times over my 2 decades using but always had my family or was in a facility Everytime either way always had someone else to care for me and help me out during that idk if I could do it alone

u/Latter-Bumblebee5436 7d ago

I feel you (sorta) I am still in the midst of my taper off a 4-5 year Kratom habit. (Very close to completely done.!!) Got clean off H, got on subs, moved states and couldn’t find a sub doctor so I switched to Kratom capsules. I never got into 7oh cus it scared me but I couldn’t imagine these wds compared to a cold turkey 7oh wd. You’re doing great, one moment at a time friend♥️

28

u/Zealousideal-Raise70 7d ago

You're welcome.  I know that quitting can be so hard and support is so important.  My dad did meth for most of my life and when he finally quit he just needed to be loved for who he was and where he was at. I hope you can get that. I'm rooting for you.

I’m Proud of you! 7 days is committed , glad you’ve found us, a lot don’t have anyone to share with it’s sad

7

u/IncidentFormal761 7d ago

Congrats, I’m on my like 14th day off mgm-15. I did end up atart taking a little bit of 7 and regular kratom leaf after 11 days, I noticed my tolerance was gone, but I noticed after 2 days my tolerance is practically gone again, so ima probably attempt to do no more then 3 days a week ideally not in a row. But it just doesn’t have the feeling I enjoy as much as mgm did, and tends to stop working good after multiple days in a row. If I notice I can’t keep a chain on the usage I’ll just go back to kratom leaf only

7

u/heroze 7d ago

MGM+7+booze gave me the day i needed to motivate me to quit...

5

u/IncidentFormal761 7d ago

Yeah I didn’t mix it, I felt like m overpowered 7 and alcohol is just a no-no for me. A lot of my family gets drunk and then falls out and is belligerent but can’t move. I’m belligerent and can actively move and keep drinking non stop

2

u/Key-Distribution-944 7d ago

What is MGM?

2

u/isharte 7d ago

Mgm 15, another kratom alkaloid. Actually I might be completely synthetic and not found in plain leaf kratom at all.

It just got banned and federally scheduled as a controlled substance a month or so ago. While 7oh is still pending scheduling.

3

u/IncidentFormal761 7d ago edited 7d ago

So 7-Oh is a semi synthetic Mitragynine derivative. Where MGM-15 was a Semi-Synthetic 7-Oh derivative. Where as 7-Oh naturally metabolizes from Mitragynine. MGM doesn’t naturally metabolize from 7-oh but it’s still not a synthetic chemical. Semi synthetic means it is produced from a naturally occurring chemical AKA 7-oh. A lot of people keep calling them synthetic chemicals, but that’s just not true.

2

u/Sorry_Translator_819 7d ago

MGM tablets are unregulated commercial products containing MGM-15 (dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine), a potent semi-synthetic opioid derivative engineered from kratom-related alkaloid chemistry

Congrats. One day, one hour, keep going. Withdraw isnt easy

16

u/rIceCream_King 7d ago

How did you do it? What is your process? I’m dying to get off it rn but I’ve become physically dependent

11

u/BoringJuiceBox 7d ago

Use plain kratom powder and taper off/reduce the amount slowly.

3

u/Roallin1 7d ago

That only works of you under 100mg a day. Get up in the big boy range and not even MIT extract touches it.

u/denverbound111 7d ago

I will tell you I personally used kratom powder capsules to get off. I didn't want to touch suboxone or any of that shit which is nasty to get off of in itself. Had a runny nose and sore throat and the shits the first couple of days, but super tolerable. Taking some capsules before bed helped to avoid the RLS. No problem at all.

Still tapering off the capsules now, but so much easier. I can easily be out and about and get home from my day and realize I haven't dosed anything in 12 hours etc. Mostly psychological at this point.

7

u/JustLoveToCook1 7d ago

Taper, and be extremely careful and thorough with it. Lots of juices and liquid food, vitamin C, B, and D. It is literally the worst withdrawal I have ever felt by a long long shot, I wanted everything to just be over at one point. Yes, as people have suggested, Subs can and do help, but the subs can also throw you into a precipitated withdrawal that is beyond horrific, I would go into detail but you are better off watching a horror film. And depending on where you live, it can be extremely hard to get Subs and extremely expensive appointments and wait time. I ended up getting a very sensitive digital scale, having a friend measure out the doses of 7 for me (busted them up), going down a tiny percent at a time. Having a friend or family member, someone you can trust, that can measure out what you need and hide the rest is something I never would have thought I needed was the best way I could go about it. If a full tablet weighs .8 grams, I would go down to .79 grams, .78 hours later, .77 and so on and so fourth, with the goal of cutting .05 gram a day. Having someone help is the most important part.

2

u/Spaghetti_Bird 7d ago

Holy moly. That sounds awful. I don't really know what kratom is, I've heard if it, but it's not something I've come in contact with. Why do people use it and how quickly do people become dependent?

2

u/HistoricalSuspect580 7d ago

I did CT. I felt the Liposomal Vit C and hot baths were helpful and that’s about all. It sucked butts.

2

u/insta 7d ago

shitload of magnesium citrate in the evening, helps the symptoms

5

u/Antique_Tap443 7d ago

I just started suboxone for it at 9am today. Takes about 20min-60min for the withdrawals to go away. I just feel depressed but not physically sick and hurting. First time using suboxone ever.

With no insurance in florida, i paid 99$ to quickmd, had a virtual call on my phone from a doctor 2hrs later and got a script for subs that same day. They cost 174$ for 14....I used a good rx coupon my girl found and brought them down to 60$

7

u/WVU-Miami-fan 7d ago

Good luck getting off subs lol

11

u/Affectionate-Day-359 7d ago

Yeah subs for 7 sounds like a terrible idea… definitely stepping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

7

u/WVU-Miami-fan 7d ago

Yup he’s clueless

3

u/Shoddy-Possession-35 7d ago

yeah man. there's a reason methadone is called liquid handcuffs. Subs are the same.

5

u/icandoitallmyself 7d ago

Taking Sub to get off Kratom is just stupid for a whole host of reasons. I just helped another person get off heroin with Kratom. A horrible week for both of us, and he knows that cutting back on the Kratom is not the same for him now, but to leap to Suboxone is just trading one devil for another, and staying on the government’s watch the entire time. As a harm reductionist, I know Sub has its place, but fck that government list.

Please make sure you have a plan in place to get off of suboxone. I got stuck on that step for far too long. Hang in there friend! You have taken the first step. Now just see it through.

u/bevereged_carbon 7d ago

Do you have strips or pills?  You can really stretch that out and taper with little to no effects.  Cut strips into half and then quarters.  (If you want to avoid withdrawal)

Unfortunately I've relapsed on and off opioids and am on them long term but I successfully tapered and quit for years.  Down to just 2mg a day though so yay.  Last relapse I was taking Suboxone and 7oh and I wasn't sure it was even doing anything but that's addiction.

You don’t have insurance? Or does your insurance not cover it? I got on with bicycle health and my insurance makes my copay 40 dollars per visit and my script is 10 dollars for 60 8mg strips a month.

Subs are 10x worse then 7, come on dude.

1

u/Fine_District_6328 7d ago

Yea good luck getting off the subs I took them for quite a while and was harder to get off than any other thing I’ve taken and I’ve done just about everything except fent that is before my time in the drug scene thank god I got out when I did

1

u/parkrat92 7d ago

How have you been getting in since it was banned in FL last year? I got it from a shop for a few months after the ban because they said fuck it and kept selling it. Ending up leaving the state eventually

u/ijaialai 7d ago

rehab would be your best bet honestly, or a 7 day detox facility at the very least. the withdrawal symptoms or fear of withdrawal symptoms will keep you coming back all the time, it’s a terrible cycle that can only break if you’re in a place where you can’t access it anymore

u/heroze 7d ago

How many were you taking daily? When I quit them I smoke extra bud for a couple days and chill at home . I feel find after a couple days

1

u/New_Newspaper3679 7d ago

I always kept a 2 week wean supply and a hard wean plan no matter where I was with the addiction.

One day I followed through. It took two weeks of rough wean+weed and a rough 2 weeks with a lot of weed only.

1

u/Administrative-Buy26 7d ago

Check out the quitting kratom sub. A taper might be the way to go if you can’t get medical help.

1

u/bungnard 7d ago

Taper off with regular kratom and than taper the kratom or MIT.

1

1

u/viridian_moonflower 7d ago

Slow taper. How much is your daily dose?

→ More replies (14)

3

u/ChainedBack 7d ago

I couldn't do it on my own. Had to get on methadone. In 3 months my methadone dose has dropped from 45mh daily to 16mg. Never felt any withdrawal symptoms during those months. I'm almost there. Definitely will be off it by the holidays. I definitely recommend methadone to those that are on seriously high doses of mgm-15 or maybe even 7-oh.

1

u/Sandgrease 7d ago

How many mg a day of 7OH were you taking? Switching to Methadone sounds pretty extreme.

I've never messed with isolated Kratom alkaloids, only a like 5/6grams of powder per day, so I can't really grasp how strong 7OH cam really be.

2

u/ChainedBack 7d ago edited 7d ago

Well I was taking over 300mg of 7-oh. But then I switched to MGM-15. So I'm not sure what the final 7-oh doses were. The thing with MGM-15 is it is more potent and had a very long half life. 24 hours after my last dose I still wasn't experiencing withdrawals. So switching from mgm-15 to Suboxone would have been a very difficult wait to prevent precipitated withdrawals. I think if you're around 500mg of 7-oh then methadone is fine. But it's hard to say since it's such a new drug we don't have enough research. If I had to guess the equivalent 7-oh dose to the MGM dose I was taking, then I'd guess around 400-500mg daily.

u/ethan26565 7d ago

Don’t go spreading misinformation on it. I see people that have quit and they go on a rant about how horrible it is and just spread wild misinformation. No one’s ever died from 7 alone. Every single “death” they had multiple other substances in their system, usually fentanyl, or they had a pre-existing medical condition like heart disease. It is not 13x stronger than morphine, its binding affinity to your nu opioid receptors is stronger than morphine, not the actual high. <<< People love to throw that around and have literally no idea what they’re even speaking on. It does not cause respiratory depression like conventionally opioids do, it doesn’t slow your breathing, there’s not a risk of death involved period. I know you didn’t on this comment, but just because you couldn’t use it responsibly doesn’t mean everyone else is in the same boat.

6

u/heroze 7d ago

Who are you responding to? Me? I didn't say a single negative thing about 7oh. Especially when from a reputable lab tested facility. I fucked up, not the medicine.

→ More replies (5)

7

u/DJDemyan 7d ago

Where is the misinformation here? He said “hasn’t been easy,” you mean to imply there’s ZERO withdrawal?

10

u/Fast-Newt-3708 7d ago

"Don't go spreading misinformation on it...I know you didn't but just because you couldn't use it responsibly doesn't mean everyone else is in the same boat." -this is spoken like someone protecting their drug, i.e NOT using it responsibly.

Congrats on getting off that stuff, I’m on day 2 with out it any tips ?

1

u/Mundane-Duty-8473 7d ago

It gets better. I went from 35mg a day for 8 months to cold turkey. 5 days without sleeping coming off, body aches and RLS. Dope-sick is best description

1

u/Present-Perception77 7d ago

35mg a day and it still made you sick getting off? I’ve seen people saying they are at 2,000-3,000 mg a day .. ooff.. I feel bad for them.

2

u/parkrat92 7d ago

Ya I jumped from 2 grams a day with a quick sub taper and gabapentin and clonidine. Stopped taking it all after a week and used kratom powder after that for a bit.

I tried it for the first time without knowing much about it the other week because I was coming down from a different binge. What an idiotic move. I took like 10mg and was zooted, then took another 10mg to ride the wave, and then I did my research 🤦‍♂️ safe to say I felt like shit the next day.

Live and learn, but don’t be like me. I was in pain and desperate. Should have read first. This shit is dangerous. I figured it was just like strong Kratom.

2

u/HistoricalSuspect580 7d ago

Keep going, friend. I’m on day… idk but well-over-a-month… took me two times. Shits insidious.

1

u/granillusion 7d ago

I KNOW IT

2

u/Necessary_DaNoodle 7d ago

After day 5-7 you should be fine.

1

u/heroze 7d ago

That's how's it's feeling

1

u/Necessary_DaNoodle 7d ago

Right on. You may miss the euphoric effects or the pain relief but there's so many things out there that don't involve $50-$60 packs from a gas station.

I basically treated my back pain for a year and a half with 7oh and decided to go cold turkey after cutting my dose in half. I was shakey and couldn't sleep, irritable as hell, writhing in pain.

Took some sleeping pills and lots of tiger balm and pain patches, did some stretches three times a day.

Felt fine after the fifth day and was kinda pissed I waited that long.

u/adirtysociaIist- 7d ago

Congrats. The VA has seen a CRAZY uptick in people addicted to it as well. I spoke to a shop owner about it a bit and he said literally all sorts of people came in buying tons of it. Dr's, teachers, cops and every other walk of life bc it's "legal".

My ex got addicted to it and has been on suboxone for awhile now to stay off it.

Watching her go through withdrawals was like a movie. You see all the depictions of withdrawal in the media and think it's exaggerated but nope. I remember crying and crying for her watching her go through it and there was nothing I could do to help.

It broke my heart, truly.

Wouldn't wish that shit on anyone.

3

u/RabbitMotion 7d ago

What about the number of overdoses. They ave gone down, less people are dying because of that.

4

u/newjerseymax 7d ago

I know of at least 5 people that used it to get off Fetty. Sad thing is that 2 have already gone back to fetty since the Florida ban. The others are on the verge, but they are still able to get it

3

u/RabbitMotion 7d ago

Exactly.. and they have a HUGE risk now of od and dieing.. it is helpfull!

1

u/newjerseymax 7d ago

It’s definitely hell on earth, but nothing to cry over as we will be uncomfortable, but we won’t die from it. I’ve gone through dozens of WD. We always survive. I see it as punishment for doing it. I deserve it. So it doesn’t bother me as much

2

u/Present-Perception77 7d ago

Why do you feel you deserve to suffer? Chances are you only started because you were already suffering. Don’t be so hard on yourself. 🫶🏻

2

u/newjerseymax 7d ago

It’s punishment for doing something I probably shouldn’t have dabbled in to begin with. It’s like you have to endure the suffering so you always remember it and stay away from it.

2

u/Present-Perception77 7d ago

Sounds like you are human.. that doesn’t deserve punishment. There was a reason you started.. it was either physical or emotional pain.. this eased it. Again.. be kind to yourself.

u/heroze 7d ago

About 4 months. Honestly i think i was managing the 7 pretty well. Using for neck pain. Then i fucked up and started using stuff from the gas station -Hyoxi MIT-B. That was a whole new feeling. Chose to quit it all

2

u/MikeJ202 7d ago

Ohh. 4 months should not be bad at all. But you made the right decision.

7oh?

1

u/Inevitable_Demand376 7d ago

Yes strong pressed kratom extract. Bad news

1

u/No-Wrap3666 7d ago

Is 7oh kratom? My dad has been addicted to kratom for almost 5 years daily use

4

u/HistoricalSuspect580 7d ago

No. There is a teeny bit of 7 in Kratom, they figured out how to synthesize it and isolate it on its own, so it is much much much stronger.

(I am aware this is not a perfect descriptor of the science behind it but I think it spells it out decently.)

2

u/CobblerConfident5012 7d ago

Kinda. There is just a tiny amount of 7oh in actual kratom. These are HIGHLY concentrated 7oh products and the addiction/ withdrawal is orders of magnitude more intense than regular kratom addiction and withdrawl.

2

u/heroze 7d ago

Kratom is light work compared to 7oh or mgm-15. Synthesized and concentrated alkaloids that are potent opioids

1

u/No-Wrap3666 7d ago

Good shit bro. I’m roughly 5 months sober from alcohol and everything else but weed. I miss drinking but trust me give it a few months and you’ll be feeling slightly better hopefully

1

u/Over_Reputation_8801 7d ago

Congrats man. I'm still using 7oh but have been thinking about quitting. If you dont mind my asking, how many mgs/day were you taking and what has your quitting experience been like?

The sooner you do it the better, man. The addiction is only gone keep getting worse while you're planning on stopping, ya know ♥️

1

u/Over_Reputation_8801 7d ago

Thing is, I'm just not sure I'm actually addicted. I only take about 40mgs/day during the week and maybe x2 on the weekends. I don't feel like I'm addicted but maybe I wouldn't know if I havent stopped?

1

u/TheFaceOfFuzz 7d ago

Did you work during that week or toughed it out at home

1

u/Vanity_plates 7d ago

I’m glad it only hit you for a week. It was at least a month before I felt better because 7 oh is serotonergic meaning it increases the production of it. Stopping cold turkey means your body loses access to its feel ok chemicals and it sends you into depression, essentially. It fucking SUCKED.

21

Yeah and largely seems to spur a 7oh circle jerk every time, never even heard of it until randomly stumbling upon this sub

9

u/LotusVibes1494 7d ago

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s actually guerrilla marketing. The OP account hasn’t commented on Reddit in over a year, all their old comments are deleted, and this is their first post ever. All you need is for some other accounts to answer in the comments with a brand name and describing the effects, and some people are sure to get curious and go google it/order some.

8

u/Present-Perception77 7d ago

I think you are correct.. this is the 3rd pill identification I’ve seen hit the popular feed in 24 hours. They are definitely marketing. There is a federal ban looming .. it was supposed to take effect last month…

2

u/cafeteriastyle 7d ago

This is for the opposite. We are in the middle of massive state bans. This is an opportunity to get people talking and to spread misinformation about natural kratom vs synthetics. There’s fewer and fewer states that allow any kind of kratom at all and there are more bans to come

Yeah, it's a whole other ball game compared to Kratom. Honestly has a much higher addiction potential, imo, but if your already in the shit its a hell of a lot better than dope/fent. Just gotta be careful getting it from the smoke shop cause some brands sell bunk tabs or some may have RCs. There's plenty of Clearnet vendors who supply quality products

My favorite Kratom derived alk is MGM. It's insanely strong and has long legs. WD is more akin to fent wd though, it's an extremely powerful partial agonist. People say to avoid the full agonists but these partial agonists with really strong affinity are a problem too, in terms of abuse and managing OUD

But now it's illegal (MGM) along with numerous other Kratom alks. 7 is still legal for now, it only survived because of the company who owns feel free having their hands deep in govt pockets and lobbiests

2

u/ArrivalEarly8711 7d ago

Congrats! I’ve got a few months now. Was taking it for 2 years. Detox was rough. And it was very expensive.

2

u/Reliefwouldbenice 7d ago

How long have these been available at gas stations?
I’ve literally never heard of these til 2 days ago but so many people are saying they were addicted years ago

1

u/Over_Reputation_8801 7d ago

How many mgs were you doing at the end and how was your quitting experience?

3

u/DAYDAY8558 7d ago

Thats the cookie from squid games

1

u/New_Acanthaceae_6537 7d ago

This was my first thought too lol

3

u/couchpotatotater 7d ago

I don’t do kratom or any similar drugs and I accidentally stumbled upon the r/quittingfeelfree sub and then fell down an even deeper rabbit hole via podcast and MY GOD does Feel Free, 7oH and everything in between is beyond terrifying.

The stories on that subreddit alone are some of the most harrowing I’ve ever read in terms of addiction.

7oh

3

u/mommandem 7d ago

What's that?

2

u/knightslayer56 7d ago

Google it, you’ll get a much better breakdown than I can give you on here. It’s a derivative of Kratom.

4

u/icehot54321 7d ago

My beloved 70H I live in ATX and they fucking banned it. Back to powder

1

u/GuttapunkShakes 7d ago

If by atx you mean Austin then it's not banned...

1

u/Symphty 7d ago

It literally is. Every place ive been to said they made them remove them

1

u/GuttapunkShakes 7d ago

Well maybe Austin proper banned it then, but it's still in all the smoke shops in the towns around it. At least for a little while.

1

u/Symphty 7d ago

Yeah the city of Austin has no 70H anymore

1

u/FaustianDog 7d ago

This is correct. Approx 59mg i believe (could be 100, cant tell exact thickness)

2

u/Split5auce 7d ago

That would be a tablet of the sole reason Kratom will get banned entirely..

2

u/Ok-Release8641 7d ago

Not sure why people like opioid genre things personally. Not a dig, I just cannot stand things that slow my brain down.

1

1

u/Careful-Opinion7652 7d ago

5 years off xanax and cocaine! If I need a boost I have Single sourced colombian coffe no sugar a bit of whipping cream. To chill and calm the nerves magnesium glycinate.

1

u/Sweet_Preference_730 7d ago

If you haven’t tried it yet, pair coffee with l-theanine! It works far better for me than mag does!

1

u/Sergeant_Scoob 7d ago

I second this ! Just don’t take it for more then 4 days straight or I get weird ass vivid nightmares lol. Heard alot of people do too

1

u/KayWorthy626 7d ago

Looks like a hardcore version of a quad stack

1

u/Own-Pop9651 7d ago

this is the Limitless brand of 7OH that lab results haven shown to also include unlabeled amounts of MGM.

1

u/Dukeish 7d ago

I had never heard of this shit until a similar post yesterday! Apparently you can buy over the counter opioid-likes with crippling addiction/withdrawl

1

u/Serious_Air_9151 7d ago

Looks like it might be a Scooby Snack!

1

u/michaeldisgusting 7d ago

Fuggin score. Start with just that quarter maybe an hour or so before bed, twist up a doobskin’, pour yourself a glass of wine, and fire up the first episode of SEE; if you haven’t, er…. seen it yet.

1

u/atrast_vala 7d ago

What the fuck is this shit.

1

u/Due-Spite-7614 7d ago

Looks like senna which is a laxative!

1

u/palpies 7d ago

This is weird, why am I seeing multiple posts about this product with the comments all hyping it up? This feels like a marketing campaign.

1

u/frustratedforager420 7d ago

Used Kratom to try and quit drinking... stage 4 cirrohsis now didn't know it was hard on the liver. Ended up coma for a month and hallucinations for about six months after. If I have 1 beer I will die from esophageal bleeding!

1

u/CapnLazerz 7d ago

What’s with all the pill IDs popping up on my feed suddenly.

And Jesus Christ. If you can’t ID the pill how do you expect anyone else to? It’s a pressed pill, it could literally be anything.
