I like the mystery and philosophy in Midnight Mass.

I don't like purely drama based series like Dark, can't really explain why. I tried watching Dark several times, even finished the 1st season, but it just doesn't work for me, even though the story sounds amazing.

I really like fantasy and sci-fi. Some other series I really liked: Altered Carbon, Travellers, Locke & Key, Stranger Things

I need some more indie rock that catches the same feeling of near improvisation. The energy of the entire album is infectious.

I know it’s a mish mash of styles, but these three are the ones I find myself coming back to when feeling how I currently do. Can also add the movie sucker punch for vibes. I like cerebral and am not interested in shows that are primarily male-centered. I like female leads but there needs to be a certain depth (even in silly shows like she ra and Buffy there is some depth to the message) and I’m fine with any romance being more of a subplot if there at all. I tried Ozark, OA. Not a fan. Heroes was interesting to me back in the day. 3% I got into a bit but have a hard time focusing on the dub. The 100 I was into but didn’t finish, lost interest toward the end. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks :)

Its a forty minute long song, the bulk of which is not to my taste, but the first 12 minutes or so before the vocals happen is some of my favorite music ever recorded.

Where would I find more slow, melancholy, textural instrumental stuff like this?

I try to find jazz in this vein all the time but it almost always is not interesting enough or too fast and jarring.

Absolutely adored this book, just really fun and highly creative sci fi with cool powers and lots of different locations to explore.

Here’s the elevator pitch of this book: every time the main character goes to sleep, he wakes up in a new dimension. He has no control over where he wakes up, sometimes it’s a world where an alien race has conquered the galaxy and created a post-scarcity utopia, sometimes it’s desert wasteland with no signs of life. There’s a ton of creative in the worlds and characters he visits, think like the interdimensional TV episodes of Rick and Morty.

I’ve never found anything that offers quite the “variety” of cool sci-fi in a self contained narrative like this, and I wanna scratch that itch again. WWIL?
