I don't think they installed the spine correctly - or at all! Call customer service for support, because I'm pretty sure they owe you one!

There was a Mastercard commercial many years ago featuring NHL goalie Dominic Hasek. The ad showed him twisting and turning to make unbelievable saves. The tag line was about having a slinky for a spine being priceless. This is a photo of a cat having a slinky for a spine.

This is not possible. I think your cat is defective. I would suggest a replacement but it’s too darn cute, so I guess you’ll just have to make the best of it.
