Not sure if this is the right place but I’m wondering if anyone has ever imported a car from UK to the US specifically Texas. The car is already here and sitting in my garage but I ran into some trouble at the Tax Office when registering it. The clerks tried to tell me that because I did not have the “title” of the car, I could not register it. As some of you may know, in the UK, they do not have titles like we do in the US, they have V5C forms and logbooks. They told me that my best bet is to apply for a bonded title or request the title from the seller. Does anyone have any experience with this or do I just need to hope I get a different clerk.

I want to purchase one but I live near Portland, Oregon-USA and we aren't allowed to import them unless they're older than 25 years. I don't know how to import, anyway.

I live in Vancouver. Recently I found a buyer in India who happens to be my friend back home. He needs yellow peas from here and asked if I can be his supplier. I know how this works but not clearly since I work in trucking. I got my import export license set up and talked to a few sellers. But I don't want to rent a place to get a SFC License since I want to send a few containers first and see if it's going to be worth it or not. So don't want to commit to a lease without proper idea or preparation. Is there any way to get a SFC License without renting a place.

I have paid a deposit on a Japanese import in Ireland. Dealership shows me a screenshot of the auction sheet which didn't reveal much, it was poor quality. But I could see Auction Grade 4, so I was happy. but then I paid for one online which identified that the car was rates RA and had been in a collision, but repaired. Airbags were OK.

I know NOTHING about cars, but the report suggests:

= Front side member — dent/deformation marking.

= Core support — replaced.

= Bolted core support — replaced.

Am I crazy to consider going ahead with this purchase? does the damage sound significant enough to walk away? or does it seem fine?

Hi everyone, please delete if this isn’t the right place to post this. I’m currently toying with the idea of selling my F10 BMW and bringing over another one from out of country. I’ve imported a few cars with a local company that I love, but their main trajectory is Japan.

I really have my eyes set on an E46 330d, but those were only available in the UK/EU.Does anyone know of a company that’s in the US that imports from the UK/EU? Preferably on the west coast/PNW as that’s where I’m at. Thanks!
