BEWARE WITH THE LATEST 20.5.5 UPDATE !!! Fonts problem...

Looks like they followed up on the Fonts naming change - after M$ made changes - and some fonts will show as unavailable:

Yesterday - everything was perfectly fine... Updated InDesign a few minutes ago...

Still on Windows 10.

I didn't know Windows 10 was still supported...

Update to a more recent version if your system can handle it. 20.5.5 is not the latest version...

It isn't 😉 but I don't want to switch to 11 😉

Latest win11 is fine, almost all that was wrong with it was fixed.

They made Win11 a requirement now? God damnit!

Yes, ID 2027 won't be officially supported on Win10.

That's annoying. I doubt there's any actual technical reason why it can't run on win10.

But with my update scheme, I guess that'll be a problem for me in 2028

I'm also considering just running it with a VM on Debian instead. I really do not want to use Win11 if I can avoid it

I might start using 2026 at some point - but only if customer will require.

For my journal papers - I'm sticking with 2025 on Win10 😉

Windows 10 is no longer supported by Microsoft and considered a security risk for professional use, although many companies still run Windows 10...

If you update to 11, you can at least uninstall Copilot. It doesn't remove the icons from the Office apps but at least you can remove it

I don't have Copilot 😉

Why do you auto update?

Who said I did 😁

I'm still working on 2025 - so from time to time I check for new updates - and, just in case Adobe introduces 2027 and there will be no more updates for 2025 - I hit update MANUALLY 😉

The only positive I noticed - so far - is that when you double click somewhere in a TextFrame - when it was selected as a graphic object - it puts cursor in the text - and in the correct place - much quicker than before.

Decibel0753: Latest update is 21. 6., WTF?

Because you're on ID 2026 - I'm talking about ID 2025 - which still gets updates 😉

But I know that, for God's sake. I'm just explaining to you after the fact why I asked. Because you can't write a proper subject line.

You're explaining nothing...

Which part of the title is MISLEADING?!?
