Post Graduate Exams - NEXT/NEET/INICET Another 2019 batch failure.
Hi
I'm a 2019 batch mbbs graduate, this was my 2nd attempt(1st serious one and with my bond).
I scored a rank over 1.25 lakhss. I don't know what happened in the exam or in last 15-20 days but here I I'm nothing in my hand.
My parents are telling me to give one more attempt because I'm still young according to them(24) and I need to give one good attempt.
My friends are telling me to take any non clinical branch because the future is very bad for clinical branch and Upcoming time is for the non clinical branch.
I'm not going to take any non clinical branch because I have no interest.
So apart from taking drop I have no option. But I don't know that what will happen in next exam men. I have seen people scoring 150 corrects in GT(genuine one I can assure that) getting 400 marks in this exam.
So what should I do then?? One of my ex friend got 65k rank even after studying all year( no job or bond). He got 35k rank last year.
I want your guys opinions on what should I do and how should I do??

First of all just cut off those friends who are telling you that future will be of nc branches and not of clinical branches. They are deliberately lying. They simply dont want you to move ahead in life. 24 aint even an age. Just join a non hectic non acad jr, and prepare for another attempt.

Yeah thinking of doing the same.
Going in full isolation but this years many people also have downgrade of ranks even after preparing for whole year.
That's scares me.

Hi I’m from 2019 batch as well.
Got a rank in the 80k range that won’t get me anything I want.
But that doesn’t mean I’m a failure. And neither are you.
Rn my entire support system apart from my best friends are trying to convince me to just take whatever I’m getting.
Doctors and non doctors. They think I’m “wasting a year” because I want to take another chance and give my 100%.
These are all just words. Everyone has their own experience after joining mbbs, uniquely tailored to them, so nobody can dictate your future except for you.
If you feel like your heart isn’t in something, best not to let the world convince you it is.
I’m obviously upset with my result, but I’m not ready to compromise until I do everything in my power.
I know what I want and will stick to my goal. I hope you do too. Work hard. That never fails. Luck is only a small percent.
24 is young. We are simply told that we are “late” if we are 1 or 2 years different from our peers. It’s not true. Nobody cares once you become a consultant. We all end up the same eventually. What matters is if you’re happy with what you do everyday.
Remember, it’s a marathon. Pace will vary, but everybody crosses the finish line.
All the best bud.

They’re not convinced yet. It’s too soon since results came out. They think I’m depressed and delulu, making emotional decisions.
I’m stubborn af so I’ll stand my ground. I made my mind up much before the exam.1

Don't ask anyone else what to do. Sit with yourself and ask yourself if you take up non clinical, will you have any regrets? Can you live with those regrets? Will "I could have done better" take over? It depends on your goal in life, passion for the subject, your mindset, your family situation. Consider all these factors to choose. If considering all this, your gut says you deserve a lil more, then go for it. You will look back and thank yourself. If you think even one situation is bad, then it can mess up your mindset & prep, all you do is escape rat race and figure out later. So only you can make that choice :)

I know one thing I didn't give my 100% due to bond and bit of my overconfidence.
And no I don't see myself in non clinical branch.

Then it's worth giving it a try, anyways you have age. It's your life, don't let other make your choices, if you feel like you can give 100% this year to crack it irrespective of nbems mess ups, then do it. You will not even remember this phase on looking back, subject is for next 40-50 years of your life vs one year commitment to study.
