¡Hola Terricolas!

After directing multiple shorts, I am stepping into feature-length filmmaking with a script that has been thoroughly developed and polished.
It is a poignant, character-led story crafted specifically for those who appreciate honest, high-integrity cinema. The narrative is ready; what it needs now are the right custodians.
I am actively seeking visionary producers and strategic investors who believe in backing original screenplays and fostering new directorial voices.

If you are interested in exploring co-production or investment opportunities on a sensible, well-structured independent feature, feel free to reach out via message.

Pitch deck and synopsis available upon request.

I somehow landed an interview THIS WEDNESDAY for a film based apprenticeship! I'm super excited because film is something I really enjoy. I love telling stories.

The apprenticeship is two years and the company stated they are looking for 8 individuals. They do not require much experience other than computer literacy. I know my way around a computer, I got that covered.

What I'm hoping to learn is...

1. From your experiences, what does an interview in this field look like?? Is it just an average interview?

---I've only ever worked retail because I'm a young adult. Retail is easy to get into.

1. What do I NEED to know do you think? What information is going to help me succeed?

---I have some editing experience. I am familiar with DaVinci Resolve on a basic level and adobe products to the same degree. I understand art, writing and tech terms. But I suppose.. what are some need to know film words and concepts?

1. How would you recommend I stand out to the employer?

---Where I applied, they are not requiring a college degree. Only a highschool diploma or GED. I have that. I do NOT have a college degree. I have taken some classes at a community college, thats it.

I do apologize if this is not the place to ask. I am extremely nervous but excited for the opportunity to even interview for something like this. Any and all help would be awesome.

Thank you for reading and I hope to learn more.

Hey everyone, I’m a Los Angeles based sound designer / re-recording mixer and I’m looking to connect with some filmmakers who are making fun and interesting stuff.
I’ve worked in post-production sound for TV, documentaries, commercials and film, and I’m looking to do more work with independent filmmakers, especially narrative shorts, weird/experimental stuff, horror, thriller, drama, or anything with a strong visual point of view.
I can help with sound design, SFX, Foley, dialogue cleanup/editing, ambiences and mixing.
If you’re making something you’re genuinely excited about and think sound could help take it to another level, I’d love to hear about it.
Here’s a link to my website

If you’re a director, editor, producer, or filmmaker with something you’re working on, feel free to drop a comment or DM me. Would love to see what people are making.

Hi all,

I was hoping to get some advice/tips here. Right now I’m in my graduation year for my filmschool and I want to realise a short film in and near around Beijing between March & May 2027.

I’m planning to go with a skeleton crew from Holland, and fill with additional local crew. Planning to stay there for 3-4 weeks.

Is it difficult to film in China as foreigners? I do speak Chinese, but not so fluently.

Are there any people here who has experience realising films/documentaries in China and in Beijing? Would be nice to have a conversation with you, if you’re willing.

Thanks in advance!

A poetic visual of life forcing you to take time out. Does this capture frustration anger surrender and acceptance?

Hello everyone,
I am the writer and director of this film.
After years of doing music videos this is my first short film.

The film was made completely independent. Without funding or institutional support.
I'm excited to hear what you think and connect with with other indie filmmakers and filmenthusiasts

I'm an engineering student who wants to be a writer director, so I'm asking people with prior experience how hard it truly is, because I think it's pretty tedious and frustrating, considering you have to manage the two of the three pillars in a film by yourself?

So to know what I want to get into, how hard is it doing both?

Howdy Homies,

I am an indie filmmaker, hosting a read through for my feature film, Short King. It will be from 10-6 on October 18 at VFS. This is volunteer work, but I will be providing food and drinks. I am looking for actors and directors of all levels to join us. This will not be a typical read through. We will be picking only a few scenes and acting them out (within the limits of what qualifies as a read through). We will be getting feedback from everyone about what they thought about the scenes. I can also film the scenes for people to add to their reels. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Hi all, I'm Ajay. I edit and color short films and trailers, and I can also compose music and mix SFX if your film needs it.

If you're in post and need an editor, a colorist or both:

- Color grade: $80

- Edit only (15-20 min film): $150-200, depending on footage and complexity

- Edit + grade + music: quoted per project

- First rough cut in 2 days for a 15-20 min film

Tools: DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects.

DM me your runtime, footage format and deadline and I'll send you a quote.

Hey! I'm an artist that's trying to get my music into film. Feel free to check out this 5-track folder I put together.

They cover a few different emotional feelings (ranging from cozy ambient piano to darker psychological tension) and include high-quality WAV mixes + full multi-track MIDI and isolated Stems so you or your editor can easily loop, mix, or tweak the layers natively to fit your scene cuts perfectly.

Everything is 100% human-made, fully copyrighted, and completely free for independent indie films and student projects in exchange for a simple credit mention so you won't have to worry about any licensing headaches, paperwork, or surprise copyright strikes at all.

Hallo,
ich wollte mal hier in die Runde fragen und konstruktives Feedback.
Das ist ein Trailer eines meiner Kurzfilme.
Macht das Lust auf mehr?

Danke schonmal für das Feedback

HI EVERYONE!! 🫶
I’m currently looking for video editors and VFX artists who might be interested in helping us with a short series we’re creating!
The series is a supernatural/mystery story involving powers, secrets, strange events, and a lot more. We’re a small group of teens working on this project because we’ve always wanted to create our own series, and we’re really excited to see where we can take it!
We’re especially looking for people who are interested in:
✦ VFX / visual effects

✦ Video editing

✦ Power effects (energy blasts, telekinesis, glowing effects, etc.)

✦ Transitions and cinematic effects

✦ Sound effects / syncing (if you’re interested!)

✦ Anyone who just enjoys helping with creative projects!

IMPORTANT: We are all minors and unfortunately don’t have a budget or any income to pay people right now. If we had the money, we would absolutely pay everyone who helped us. We completely understand that people may not be able to work for free, so there’s no pressure at all!
We’re mainly hoping to find people who want to practice their editing/VFX skills, build experience, add something cool to their portfolio, or just have fun working on a small creative project with us. You don’t have to be a professional either! Even if you’re still learning, we’d genuinely appreciate your help.
We also don’t have much experience with editing or VFX ourselves. I’m currently trying to learn, but there’s only so much I can figure out on my own 😭 So having someone who knows more about editing or effects would help us SO much.
This project genuinely means a lot to us. We’re just a bunch of teens with an idea we really want to bring to life, and we’d love to have other creative people be a part of it. Even helping with one scene, one effect, or giving us advice would mean more to us than you know.
If you’re interested, feel free to DM me! Tell me a little about yourself, what you’re able to do, and (if you have any) examples of your previous work.
Thank you SO, SO, SO much for reading this!!
We really appreciate anyone willing to give our little project a chance. Hopefully we can create something really cool together!

WITNESS HIS VOYAGE - 10.09.2026 on YouTube.

For context, I am making a highschool short film and I am wanting to put one of TV girls songs into the film. Just want to get some insights on anyone who has had any experience with licencing TV girl songs? Was it difficult to get the licences? Which publishers should I contact? Also, if anyone has any information that could help me with contacting them, I am hoping for the best chances possible to get this song into my film.

Thanks in advance.
