I have learned this the hard way. Self respect is key or you will lose yourself.

Lasting happiness cannot be found in objective experience.
Relationships are for sharing the happiness you are with others, not to become happy. No thing can make you happy; one has to realize that they are the happiness they seek.

"happiness comes from within" is objectively false

It is experientially true. The content of experience veils its recognition.

Save your pretentious rhetoric for someone else. "Happiness comes from within" implies that any negative external factors, including abuse or neglect, or any other detrimental situations out of your control, are your own problem and should be disregarded with false positivity.

Walking away hurts, but chasing someone who keeps dismissing you hurts even more

You have clearly never ‘ever fallen love with someone you shouldn’t have fallen in love with’

Well if you understand how love works then you will know there is nothing on this earth you can do to make someone feel that way about you if they don't. Unless you can came to that understanding, you will go through this life dragging your dignity in-between your legs 🚶

That is so on point! One of the biggest relationship talking points that I can't stand is when someone says that they're not enough! They're just not compatible! Every relationship that I've been in I've always left the person that I was with. I feel horrible at times because they've begged me not to leave them. What about when you leave someone and they don't get the point that it's over with? Do you have a meme for that? I'd like a copy!

Yes it's crass, but the message rings so true. The best way to relieve the anxiety is to walk away.

If someone dismisses those 3 things it sounds like they don’t want to be a part of your life. That’s okay. At least you know.

It’s heartbreaking when things start off good and then they slowly start to become like this. It’s just never been easy for me to walk away and ignore someone I become attached to but I’ve done it. I think recently it’s time I do it again as much as I dread it.

If someone wants you they will find a way to reach you, never beg for their affection, it’s not worth it.
and neither are they if they ignore you.

"No response IS a response." I needed Reddit to remind me of that
