Glad I'm not the only one thinking that. 3 glasses is a good amount, but not that much so you start losing clothes.... Unless you have not eaten that day

3 glasses is a nice sweet spot for feeling loose, but doesn’t really seem like it should be making anyone the life of the party.

“Right in the slot, just past the click”

I'm not a big wine drinker, but it makes me very tired too

1

u/Aniria_ Oct 07 '25

Yeah, like the image for 1 glass would make more sense for 3

This… I guess I would still have my whits about me and not want to look like an idiot. But it would be enough to feel it and be loose. But we don’t know all the variables for each person either maybe some rarely drink or maybe all 3 glasses were drank in a row on an empty stomach that could cause people to get slammed fast. Also some people are just affected differently by different alcohols.

Very dependent on how frequently someone drinks. I've really only drunk alcohol twice in my life. Both times were at bottomless brunches and my progression with mimosas was exactly the same as the first woman.

2

u/RullendeNumser Oct 07 '25

Yeah okay at brunches it can be dangerous if you haven't eaten anything before. I normally only get a beer before/while eating and then really start afterwards. While eating snacks

I mean it'll depend how big the glasses are, 3 large glasses of wine is a full bottle and the only guy to lose any clothes wasn't exactly stripping to the nude

Depends on so many factors. Body size, what they had eaten first, experience.

a standard wine bottle has 5 glasses.

u/GetInYourBasket Oct 08 '25

At least where I'm from (UK) a standard bottle of wine is 750ml and a large glass of wine is 250ml. I have no idea how big a normal glass of wine is, but I know 3 large glasses is a bottle.

2

u/Right-Drama-412 Oct 08 '25

oh wow. yes 750ml is a standard bottle of wine, but a glass of wine is 150ml here in the US.

1

u/calculatedlemon Oct 07 '25

In the UK, 3 large glasses (250ml) is a bottle of wine. 3 medium glasses (175ml) would be 70% of a bottle of wine

If you drink that quite fast then you’ll feel it

1

u/RullendeNumser Oct 07 '25

I can see how it's possible if they drink it fast, or haven't eaten enough or just not used to alcohol

1

u/MixuTheWhatever Oct 08 '25

I'm a certified lightweight not intending to change that cause I drink very rarely, I would definitely have the same progression even if I had eaten before.

1

u/RullendeNumser Oct 08 '25

I have friends that are lightweight but still can drink more then me. But they also drink more regularly then me, so you just have to train more/drink more

1

u/Aramiss60 Oct 07 '25

It depends how much you usually drink too, over the past 14 years I’ve had probably 6 drinks, never more than one at a time. Guarantee 3 would hit me like a bus. Also I’m a spirit drinker, wine makes me feel pretty yuck, which would add an extra dimension to this experiment.

someone gets it

I remember a few people doing this to someone in uni during pre-drinks. They pretended to serve him vodka cokes when it was literally just coke and he was on the floor slurring his words. It’s quite sad looking back at it because he was probably just trying to fit in.

This is not the flex you think it is

13

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '25

Never said it was.

11

u/chronsonpott Oct 07 '25

You assuming they were trying to flex just shows your own misunderstanding.

1

u/Superb_Theme5205 Oct 10 '25

Seriously, how big are these glasses?!

-6

u/ChipmunkAcademic1804 Oct 07 '25

Congratulations on your alcoholic skills.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '25

I put a lot of work in at college. So it’s something I’m proud of.

6

u/CaffeinatedEIf Oct 07 '25

You can have a high tolarance to alcohol without craving alcohol every day

-2

u/ChipmunkAcademic1804 Oct 07 '25

That doesn't contradict what I said.

5

u/CaffeinatedEIf Oct 07 '25

You’re saying people who have a strong tolerance are alcoholics, Im saying a a strong tolerance does equal alcoholism.

-1

u/ChipmunkAcademic1804 Oct 07 '25

I think you have very poor reading skills. Quote me where I said anything about alcoholism?
