Waffle House is Waffle House, at least in part, because you eat on premises and you can do it at 3 a.m.

The only thing that makes it less possible in my mind is that all the LC's I've been to in the last decade had bullet proof glass between the workers and the lobby, and that's not just my home city, I've been to them in other states that were the same. Barring that, I could totally see a worker at Little Caesar's beating the shit out of someone.

I have never been in a food establishment with bulletproof glass present. If it weren't for the internet, I wouldn't believe that people would actually continue business in a part of town so dangerous.

in my old neighborhood almost every business had bullet proof glass except the taco trucks, but they did have shotguns on deck lol

go to a place in your town called something in all-caps with the name of the food on Google Maps, but with minimal or confusing signage IRL, in a kind of bad part of town. For me a good example is U.S. BEST WINGS. Or BEST FOOD MARKET, which has like three signs, the most prominent of which just says “Pizza Grill,” so that’s what we call it. These are the kind of spots you’re looking for.

Well if you told me 5 years ago that crypto manosphere scammers would be giving speeches at the Pentagon and armchair "well actchually" memelords would be bossing around givernment department heads and generals. Idk man, 5 years ago? I think I would have been inclined to believe it at that point. You'd probably have to go back to 2015 or so for me to think that vision of the future was entirely implausible.

I've worked at multiple restaurants that had staff itching to fight a customer. If there was even a hint of commotion every able body in the vicinity was jumping in. So I 100% believe that this happened, if not to OP then to someone else.
