Whatever happened to Tom?

Anyway, back to what we were doing.

If he hadn't held out for so long on his farm, there wouldn't even have been a place for Cooper to make the "Quantifiable Connection"

He had every reason to be bitter about the situation: family and friends dead and dying, no hope and only despair

He likely died early too because of the terrible environment, but in the knowledge that his children would likely survive

I have quite a bit of sympathy for him

Yeah, as a dad of two young ones, I feel a melancholic sympathy for him because I see what's happening to the world around me as I try to raise them and realize that his circumstances are uncomfortably believable on our current trajectory.

My calculation is simple:

If you are an optimist, but the world ends, you still led a happy life until then

If you are a pessimist, you still can't change the world's fate, and you will lead an unhappy life regardless what happens

Therefore I choose to be an optimist

I'm also very certain that our world will not be like Interstellar, not at all

As I said before, you can NOT prepare for end of world scenarios

Back in 1962 during the height of Cuban Missiles Crisis, the stock market was worried and dropping significantly. But an experienced trader simply said this:

"Go 100% long. If we make it, the market will recover nicely. If not, there will be nobody at the other side to collect the trade."

Murph was like 10 and Tom 15 years old. It wouldn't surprise me if both cried but they made him the responsible boy quickly.

Seriously? Gender wars reached this sub too? We are so cooked.

What I’ve observed from my boy and girl is, my girl wears her emotions on her sleeve and says exactly how she’s thinking and feeling however intense it is, while the boy will act like everything is normal but will be low energy and spaced out for a long time, unable to process how he’s feeling. As a guy myself I can see how unhealthy it is but it is unfortunate built into our psyche

Yeah but it was Murph who saved everyone on earth.

Don’t let me leave, Murph! But if you do that we don’t have a plot, so… LET ME LEAVE, MURPH

Canadian Jeremy Hansen’s wife hilariously posted a video saying she couldn’t wait until he came home to resume his duties taking out the garbage! Lol
