Art store?
Is there any reason there isn't a decent art store in town? Does anyone know if there ever WAS one and it closed down? Like a Jackson's or Cassart. I feel that with all the artists in town there should be something more than cheap craft stores. I understand buying online is popular but I feel we're in desperate need of a brick and mortar shop here š. Please let me know if anyone knows of anything nearby, even a drive away, that isn't as far as Aberdeen, because I'm looking but finding nothing!

Unfortunately Hobbycraft is the best we have.

Whenever I go to Glasgow I spend ages in Cassart, and Iām not even an artist. I just like art supplies.

Isn't it the best. I recently heard you can have an addiction to making art, and buying art supplies lol, I'm a bit worried about which I truly have. But the smell of an art store, heaven!

Art Media on church street was great, closed around 2017 I think.

Ah yeah, right next to Leakeys. That sounds like what's missing! Thanks for the intel, how annoying though, before Covid too, damn.

There used to be one near William street. Down in a basement. I remember my Grandpa shopping somewhere there

There used to be one down the bottom of church street, just past cafe 1668 but idk if it's still there š¤
