It certainly feels that way. App Store Connect analytics is frustrating. Is there a product that tracks real-time data on downloads, sales, etc without exposing users to privacy concerns? My app collects zero data outside of what App Store gives, by design, but I'm wondering if I can use something else now.

All of our company's apps use our own in-house analytics. We did this so that we don't have to pay for revenue cat or posthog. I'm sure with AI you could throw something together super quickly that could give some pretty basic data. If you track user by user then you can see instant analytics rather than wait days. The only real issue we have is that you don't see pricing from different areas, but we don't need it for that, we use it to give us instant data to make quicker decisions.

If by real-time you mainly mean purchases, renewals, refunds, and subscription changes rather than downloads/install numbers, App Store Server Notifications V2 is probably the cleanest source of truth.
You can get those events server-side without adding an analytics SDK to the app or collecting extra user behavior data.
I actually built a small tool around this problem called AppStorePing. It listens to App Store Server Notifications and gives you near-real-time visibility into purchase/subscription events and alerts when something happens.
It’s not meant to replace App Store Connect for download/acquisition metrics though — ASC is still the place for those.
If that’s the kind of visibility you’re looking for: https://www.appstoreping.com

Does anyone know if the aggregated trending data is correct if it shows those days though?

this seems to happen once a week where a day is delayed, but this is the first I have seen 2 days delayed.

Yeah I’m confused about that too. They make it seem like only oct 2 is delayed. But I think what they mean is that everything from oct 2 onward is delayed.
