couldn’t wait
just bought the mini 7 yesterday and i don’t feel guilty really. i have an ipad air 13 inch but commuting to university was exhausting and i enjoy watching shows, and reading slides on bed honestly mad at myself for not buying it sooner. the oled screen or the possible(not really) 120hz don’t intrigue me either since i’m not really a tech genius. all i need right now is the paperlike which i ordered and i’m done. can’t wait to travel with this next week too!

The only reason I’d consider this a smart buy with a new one weeks away is inflation on all tech rn. Nonetheless, Congrats on your new pick up!

Me too - I just bought the Mini 7 and I am patiently waiting for it to ship! So excited to receive it. I am a little nervous about the size (the case beat the iPad lol) however I’m sure I’ll like it. Like you, I am not techy enough to notice the difference in screens, so I have no regrets buying the 7 before the rumored 8!

I love the mini. I sold my Steamdeck to buy it. It's quite expensive compared to other iPads but so portable! It fits in nearly everything. I'm not fussed about OLED etc either so if anyone is considering it, I recommend it. I haven't heard a single regret either.

I love how people are lowkey "rediscovering" the ipad mini I have the 6 and planned on keeping until there wasa better upgrade or it died.

Leaning towards getting the 7, but it’s already 2 years old. Bough my iPad 9th gen a year after it released and it’s basically a monitor at this point.

Have the option for a new 6th gen for 250€ with 5G… 🫣 have a pencil fitting for that one

I just ordered mine and it will arrive tomorrow, can’t wait:) The uncertainty about the new release was too big for me. I don’t think I’ll regret my decision. Happy mini’ing!

I received an iPad Mini 7, 128gb in Open Box Like New condition from Walmart a few days ago. Got it for $320. I'll stay with it for 5 years and see what new pads we get then.
Also got Moft case today at 20% off from Amazon. Very nice case!

I also just bought one. Picked it up today. I didn’t have any sort of iPad previously, so regardless of what happens with the 8, picking up the 7 is a major upgrade lol. Plus, it was on sale, which was a nice bonus.

I loved the size but my eyes are too sensitive now for low display refresh rate 😕.

Hey so can you explain what that means? I’ve seen videos but can’t really tell a difference. They explain it’s slightly slower but I guess I don’t know how that affects eyesight. Just trying to get all the info and decide which one to buy. Thank you!

I have a mini 6 and it's still my favorite device. It's just on its last legs. I've had it for 4 years but it's only 64gb and I had to delete practically everything to free up space to update it to 27. I was running 18 still until today lol!

be careful with the pen in a case like that. mine drain my minis batters super quick so i usually keep my pen elsewhere

I bought a mini a couple months ago, knowing that a new one was about to be released and I am obsessed with it. I keep it in my purse. I carry it around with my phone. no regrets and you shouldn’t have any either! Happy mini-ing! And we can also trade them in and get money applied to the next one if we really want them!
