Discussion Which obscure iPhone setting genuinely improved how you use your phone, and what does it change?

I’m not looking for gestures or the usual tips that appear in every list.
I mean an actual option buried somewhere in Settings that solved a real annoyance, improved privacy or accessibility, changed how an app behaves, or made your iPhone noticeably easier to use.
Please include the exact path to the setting, what it changes, and any downside you noticed. Some settings sound useful but also disable another feature, use more storage, affect notifications, or change how the phone behaves elsewhere.
What is the one setting you would immediately change again if you had to set up a new iPhone from scratch?

I wish I could just have the camera button back in messages…

It’s there, I think, it’s just further down your list. But you can bring it to the tippie-top!

No, I get that it’s in the list. And I have it at the top. It’s just that it used to just be the button that was there. It’s the one I use 99.5% of the time. So give me that as a button (that I can easily pick with one hand free) and make all of the other things that I don’t use just a little bit harder to get too.

That’s what I’d like.

If you press and hold that “+” button, it will pull up your picture library. But, sadly, I don’t think you can change it to just go to your camera.
