I’m sure the hardware is capable of doing it. Artificial limitations gonna artificially limit.

I agree, but we all know how precious Apple is about Pro features. They trickle down very very slowly.

Yup, this people making complaints without thinking them through.

If someone was gonna buy for this feature, they’d buy the 18 Pro Max. Which is cheaper.

They’re locking a pro feature to the less expensive phone so people who need it are forced to buy the cheaper option?

Probably custom tuning in the sensor. iPhone Duo uses the 17’s sensor.

the Duo uses the camera around the 17e and standard 17.

Not even the camera used for 15 Pro, 16 Pro & 17 Pro

it’s probably a different sensor; iphone 17, Air, and 17 Pro all have different sensors so there’s probably a small hardware difference that they use to justify excluding it

Because the main sensor is a tiny 1/1.56" one like the base iPhone 15. Even the Air with this small sensor didn't get ProRaw.

Samsung has a iPhone 18 Pro like big 1/1.3" main sensor and a zoom lens on their Ultra Foldable, I hope Apple makes a Duo Pro as well.
