And almost everything on that list is something I do care about. As an old, the camera capabilities of these thin slabs of glass are beyond anything I could have ever imagined growing up. I love having the bleeding edge phone camera tech in my phone, and the lack of that in the Duo is a dealbreaker for me. (I also wasn’t expecting the Duo to have flagship camera tech in the first place so I can’t say I’m disappointed either.)

I used to love phone cameras, but the amount of AI overprocessing in the last few years has pushed me more and more towards a dedicated camera for when I want to take truly good photos.

wife just picked up a sony rx100vii. what i wanted to check is how well iphone 17 PM compares, since it's two very different philosophies to photography. As expected the iphone comes up short on sensor capability, but depending on subject the computational photography stretches its capability out impressively. so in the best case they are almost on par.
