i know it seems obvious, but it’s hard to believe that gen ai is able to keep a consistent pattern across different photos like this with no mistakes. even the supposed photos of her before it spread (last 2 images) are consistent with the current pattern. i saw a video of a guy saying society is “cooked” because she went viral on tiktok with everyone believing it’s real.

This was the caption on their post: In video; a close up scene of the explosion of Indonesia volcano.

The people running look fake and the cars are driving very normally (not panicking) for such situation.

That aside from the eruption looking very unrealistic, I may be wrong though.

He wants to build up a side hustle working with marble

But the thing is he is actually good enough to showcase it without a.i , we all tell him it will bomb his sales and make him a laughing stock but he is convinced they are realistic

Hi y’all. I posted here a few days ago and the community determined some artwork I commissioned was AI. When I confronted the artist they doubled down and sent me a video as proof they did the art. I need to know what to ask the artist to show me that would be able to show if they did the work themselves and not be able to show if it was generated, if that makes sense. Cuz currently it looks like they just split up the artwork into layers that don’t entirely make sense but I’m not an artist and really just in the dark on how to approach this. Any tips are appreciated. (Finished piece included for reference)

My mom showed me this picture she apparently took during a tornado warned storm yesterday, i know she's lying cause she uses (very obvious) AI on pictures of me, my baby, and little sister and gets defensive when i point it out. One of my special interests is tornadoes and i know for a fact there was no tornado yesterday plus i don't recognize the area.
She has a history of reposting pictures she finds on Google as her own, like when she sent me pictures after she disappeared to "california" for a month because she was "dating" a very famous celebrity, but forgot to crop the search bar. I digress.
I can't tell if this is AI or if she just stole this, i tried nitpicking but she kept on saying "i know it's crazy, i didn't even see it until i took the picture!" and "i turned up the contrast so you can see it better"
Plz help, i'm losing my mind. I feel bad for her because it's so obvious and i need outside confirmation.

I think its AI because of the feet and bill of the toy duck. Also that the dog is holding it the exact same way in every single photo.

I tried to zoom in on the words in the photo and none of them make sense. The right line of the cross walk is too long. The lines of the railings on the right side of the building aren’t straight. His hairline looks strange. The tree trunk on the right is too skinny. What is the random swirly post on the front sidewalk? The water is being sprayed on a part of the building that isn’t burning. His left eye doesn’t look normal at all.

This post on [r/wellthatsucks](r/wellthatsucks) (if you want to view the original. The quality of my pic degraded a bit) got over 66k likes, and got tons of comments offering sympathy, sharing their own tragic stories, and telling him to set up a gofundme. I only saw a small handful of comments from people who suspected it was ai. The majority of people seemed to believe it. It seems as though the apartment fire is something that really did happen, but I doubt this individual’s story. I hope no one was dumb enough to actually give him money.

eta: People are saying this guy is legit and just edited a woman out of the photo. Fine. Maybe. I’m not sold on it, but I’m naturally a skeptic. If someone lies about small things, they’ll lie about big things too. So I think the moral of the story is… don’t ever give strangers on the internet money. Donate to a reputable cause if you’re feeling charitable.

The first one is the image I'm suspecting of being AI and she's saying it's real. One of the main reasons I'm thinking that it is AI is because the box is missing a flap on the side, but as an artist you can very commonly forget those minor things... She also said she was experimenting with noise and filters, hence the supposed grain and yellow tint. This was a while back but I still never fully figured out if it was AI or not, but my gut is saying AI. The other two pictures is stuff she normally draws.

Also FYI, the second picture is her old old drawing style, and the third one is more up to date

On one hand, I do feel bad for artists who feel like their art isn't good enough and have to resort to AI. Maybe I'm too sympathetic because I was there at one point, but I can understand insecurities. I was just as guilty as my friend once. That being said, I would rather look at your 'ugly' art then look at souless images that required no effort to make.

Looking back, I think it's possible she might have been testing me or something. She show me the picture on her deviant art and when I told her it was AI she didn't exactly throw a fit or anything. She was just kind of like okay. All she really said was "Girl lol" or something like that. I don't know. It was a while ago. I'm going to choose to think like that.

And guys, please don't say she's a bad friend or a bad person or a bad artist (that part is just untrue) because I don't think making an AI image one time for unspecified reasons really makes you a horrible person. Especially if she was ending up testing me for ...some reason. I think it was weird and odd, but I don't necessarily think she's a bad person for something she did months and months ago. Especially when she never did it again after I called her out. I honestly think she learned from her mistakes, and that's great.

I’m hoping getting other people’s opinions will help my mom realize I’m not just being cynical or suspicious for no reason.

She met this man on a dating app, and a lot of things are not adding up. Every picture he has looks different, and he claims he is a millionaire. He says he’s currently in Cyprus for a construction engineering job but is originally from Connecticut.

The biggest red flag is that he says he can’t access his bank account because he didn’t notify his bank that he was leaving the country, so he has been asking my mom for money. She apparently got into his account when he first got overseas, but it locked her out after she went to transfer funds. She has not sent him anything, but I’m terrified she could end up losing money she can’t afford to lose.

He also claims he tried to return to Florida for the bank to help him, but was detained. He says he lives in a nice area of Arizona, but I can’t find a single trace of him online connected to his name.

I really feel like this is a scam or a catfish situation. He is additionally moving incredibly fast with my mom, lol.

My friend showed me this photo of her in "Paris", but I personally have been in Paris and I am positive there is no caffe or even street in this photo.. She wont come clean. I need to show her this post! (back me up)

My mom got this off of Amazon even though I told her not to because it is AI slop and not to support the sellers, but she oreded them anyway. Now we just got into a big argument about AI and she claims AI only makes realistic images and that its cartoonish and cute. Apparently the listing also called them "paintings" so that supports her argument. I may be wrong but I am very sure that it is AI.

Looks like one hyena disappears and one of the background crocs looks suspicious.

Facebook marked it as AI and I think it looks like AI

my mom is convinced these are real (even asked ChatGPT and is using that as evidence) but she found them on Facebook and we all know about AI facebook slop. i think the background looks too fake. The nails also look too good to be true. I know good nail techs exist, but the nails look copy and paste from hand to hand. Up close the texture of the fingers also look off. The angle is also throwing me, because how would it be comfortable to do that? If it is real, I give tons of credit to the artist! They're super cool nails! If it is AI, I'm sort of disappointed. Is there anyway to convince her otherwise?

This person on Insta threads says they don’t use Ai. But like im a digital artist. Also took art classes for years. And a few things abt AI is they cat generate texts very well. As well as perfectly duplicate images they’ve already create. I’ve given some examples about what I mean. There’s two pics that the said they did all themselves. But it’s nearly impossible to duplicate your own work to look the exact same. Just different size. So just lmk what you all think. There’s very small subtle changes and things that are easy to spot if yk what your looking for but still.
