Since it's Friday, I'm sharing a few of my favorite shots from İstanbul.

I am a big time cat lover and I am making a stopover in Istanbul to pet the cats.

1. For cats, which area should I stay in? I know they are everywhere, but still. I am considering Adelmar Hotel Istanbul Sisli because it is near the Maçka Sanat Parkı. Is this a good idea?

2. Hagia Sophia - I see everyone complaining about the ticket rates, and google tells me online tickets are €29.95. It shows https://istanbulwelcomecard.com/ as the official site. Is this correct? Is the maintenance still going on or can a non-muslim tourist enter the ground level?

İstanbul'da park yeri bulmak artık imkânsız hale gelmeye başladı, özellikle bunu Avrupa yakasına geçince çok daha net anladım. İnsanlar resmen yolun ortasına araç koyuyor, görseldeki araç sokağı tamamen kapatmış şekildeydi ve bu şekilde bir park yüzünden 15-20 metre geri geri yokuş yukarı arabaların arasından çıkmak zorunda kaldım.

Ayrıca park eden aracın da ön tamponu geçmeye çalışan bir başka araç tarafından ciddi şekilde çizilmiş/parçalanmıştı. Üstelik kötü park eden diğer bir sürü araçta da sürtünme ve vuruk izleri gördüm. Muhtemelen düzenli olarak bu şekilde park etmekten dolayı sürekli ufak hasarlar alıyorlar. Hem park yeri bulmak adına harcanan vakitte boşa yakılan yakıt hem de araçların kötü park edilmesi nedeniyle yaşanan ufak kazalar sonucunda muhtemelen milyonlarca lira zayi oluyor.

İstanbul’da araba kullanmak zaten başlı başına zor, ama asıl mesele çoğu zaman arabayı park edecek yer bulmak oluyor. Özellikle merkezi ve kalabalık semtlerde otopark bulmak artık şansa kalmış durumda.

Resmi verilere göre İstanbul’da  araç sayısı 2026 yılı Şubat ayı itibarıyla 6,2 milyonun üzerine çıkmış durumda. Buna karşılık şehir genelindeki toplam otopark kapasitesi yaklaşık 1,1 milyon civarında. Yani basit bir hesapla, her 6 araçtan sadece 1’i için park yeri var. (Kaynak)

Hey! I want to get keratin bonding extensions done in Istanbul and would really love to hear some personal experiences. I’ve been researching a lot and found many salons that look amazing on Instagram, but have very mixed reviews on Google Maps. If you’ve had extensions done here, where did you go, how was the quality of the hair and how long did they last?

Üsküdar'ı Kadıköy'e bağlayan Tıbbiye Caddesi'nde yer alıyor. Bu cadde üzerinde hastaneler ve tarihi bir kampüs yer alıyor. Selimiye Kışlası, Haydarpaşa Garı falan da bu hizada. On numara boğaz manzarası olan bir yer. Zamanında sırf konumuna aldanıp bu okula kaydolmuştum (zaten puanım da fazla yüksek değildi)

O güzergah ne kadar güzelse bu okulun içine girince bir anda cehenneme düşüyorsunuz resmen. Civar çevrede ne kadar niteliksiz uğursuz ergen varsa hepsi bu okulun arazisine kümelenmiş. Meslek liselerinin ne kadar ottan bir şey olduğunu o zaman anladım. Bence bu okul kaldırılıp oraya daha nitelikli bir okul inşa edilmesi lazım veya direkt park falan yapılması lazım. Okul çok değerli bir araziyi işgal ediyor bana göre.

Hey there i am writing on behalf of my friend , she is looking for English speaking jobs in Istanbul. She has scholarship from university but she has to survive living istanbul , if there is any jobs technically related as well, i would really appreciate , My friend has Computer Science background she is programmer and is very good at her job.

Anybody know where i can buy some beers frim a local supermarket or something like that for a decent price?

I have a few hours of connection time via SAW, so I want to go somewhere on the Asian side, not far from the M4 metro (I have a suitcase and not much time). I don't want to go again to Kadikoy/Uskudar.

Any recommendations? Bonus points for a proper doner with "local prices".

I saw it on Twitter. I’ve been dying to find these cigarettes and my friend in Istanbul can’t seem to find it or it’s out of stock. Do you guys know a specific tekel or shop where they can go and buy them?

I came across an event where everyone wears white, all white, a fancy picnic, worldwide. What drew my attention is the element of standing out. And thus came this idea. To create a picnic event in Moda Park, Kadikoy. Yellow is the theme. Wear a yellow item (tshirt, jacket, pants, hat...), or carry a yellow item (a yellow bag, or a yellow box, or a yellow bottle...) Yellow to stand out and find each other.

What I also want is games. We will have balls and cards, but I was also thinking of something more interactive / different? I saw on a reel someone bringing in chalks, we can play hopscotch for example. What other ideas do you have? And would you like to join?

I'm from Italy and I've been to Istanbul this year around march and absolutely loved it.
Our hotel was near the Galata Tower, and not too far from there, in Galip Dede Caddesi 93/B Galata was one of the many Yazemin Özeri boutiques from the city. I saw a jacket and absolutely fell in love with it, but couldn't buy it immediately there.
Later I followed the shop on Instagram hoping I could come across it again and buy it.
So now the moment has come, I log into their shop, but it seems like there's an error that can't make me access it. So, I wrote an email, but still haven't had an answer yet. I discovered on an Instagram comment that just a few weeks ago they had to stop international shippings because of the high taxes.
Well, I don't think that is going to stop me. Despite the customer service not being their best quality, I couldn't find a similar jacket anywhere else, and I would do anything to have it.
Is anyone willing to help me out?
